Okay, I had a conversation with a anti-war protester and to cut a long story short he called me a coward and said that I wouldn't go fight over in Iraq. When I told him I would he just walked away. I plan to join the navy early next year after college. Here is my question. Would you go fight in Iraq. Minus your feelings about Bush and the administration, would you volunteer to go over and fight in Iraq. Thank you for your answers.

Ausgirl, what are you smoking. Only aussies dying over there. How about almost 4,000 dead Americans in Iraq and maybe 100 dead Australians.

Andrea, you are despicable and digusting. Soldier fight for their country and follow orders. I'm sorry you don't have the brainpower to understand that.

Yes. I wouldn't want to give up all what I have worked for in high school; college and so forth. But I still remember 9/11 very well, and I realize there is potential danger for Americans if these people aren't given an example of the American wrath. I'd defiantly go, and if I had to die, so be it cause I'd die for my country. But the thing is, I'm too smart to end up in a body bag, I could achieve more as an officer or stay away from the army all together and stick to my original plans for my future.
I'm constantly having army recruiters come up to me and inquiring about deciding about joining the Marines.

YES..... I have passed the age to re-enlist even in the Army ( I'm 47). I'm going to Iraq or Afghanistan as a civilian contractor next summer, after I finish college.

People seem to vote but not answer the post, and when they vote they don't even take into consideration whether the answer is even right for the posted question, I think that if you are going to give a thumbs up or down you should have to post an answer to the question.

Yeah i am going over there next year, on my birthday - its not a matter of fighting, at the end of the day a soldiers role is to protect, peace enforce, peace keep, give aid. We don't work for the government we work for the tax payers as they are the ones who pay us

Very simple answer, people who joined the military to fight in Iraq are clueless and are believing Bush's lies. This war is not on freedom, Iraq never attached America. It was Bin Ladin. What the hell does Iraq have to do with September 11? What the hell are we doing in Iraq? We should of never been there in the first place. Bush cares more about invading countries than our own economy. And no i would never fight in Iraq. your welcome

Already served in Iraq.
I retired when I was told that I was 'nondeployable.'
I suspect that the big reason the liberals do not want you to go to Iraq is they are afraid you find out how much they have been lying to you.

is your question woud we go fight in iraq or go defend our country? I think they are not the same thing.
Let me put it to you this way...would you go fight in Myanmmar? If you think thats a strange question, and if you wonder what it has to do with protecting the USA? you get the point.
