YES THEY WILL!!! You will need to speak with a recruiter but it is called the Army Student Loan Repayment. In order for them to pay your loans, you will agree to do a certain amount of time in return. Each year on your "anniversary" (the month you joined the military), they will pay back a portion of your loans. For example, if you have $60,000 worth of loans and you signed up for a 6 year contract in JAN, every year in JAN, the military will pay $10,000 of your loan, making it a 0 balance at the end of 6 years. That is how they get your time out of you so that they don't completely pay off the $60K and you decide to jump ship 2 years into your contract.

Yes the Army has a way where if you come in after finishing your degree you will come in as a specialist (E-4) and they will pay off your college loans. If you come in and don't have them pay your college loans you can come in as an officer.

Your answers so far are misleading. There are programs that will cover some or all of your educational loans if your degree is in certain disciplines.

You have to talk to a recruiter.

if you enlist, sign up for the GI Bill, get out and use it, then re - enlist, CLRP may not be available to you. not everyone is offered that program. since you already signed up for they GI Bill you cannot get it again.

additionally, not all loans qualify. only federal loans . not private ones.
