There's no connection between the two. 85% of Iraqi oil is under contract to a French firm (Compagnie Petrol De Francais). The price of gas isn't because we are fighting a military operation in Iraq. It's because we haven't built a new refinery in this country in over 30 years while the number of gasoline powered vehicles has gone up dramatically.

I will support the troops no matter what. Also, gas price does not have to do with the troops their, infact we have taken almost half of iraqs oil feilds for ourself, so we have more oil now. It went up becuase the people who sell it. They would go up with or without the presence in the middle east.

No. One has nothing to do with the other. We (Americans) just need to stop electing Texas Oil Tycoons to the White House and Congress.

Y know what's funny? Most of the "Oil for War" types fail to realize that a majority of our nation's oil imported for consumption comes from South America!
