I've heard all this crap about making 100k to 200k through contracting. Everyone suggest it but nobody will give any guidance as far as where to apply or how. Im almost done with my 6 year enlistment. I've been military police so law enforcement/security is where my experience is at. I have my security clearance and am pretty sure its good for a few more years. Im located in San Antonio, TX but am open to relocate if I have to. I will not go back to Iraq though. Any advise?

He lately admitted that he's a married man. But he said, he is still single in status. His mother is still the sole beneficiary. He added that during the re-enlistment he will change the name of his beneficiary to my name and will acknowledge me to be his legal wife. Is this possible to military law? How about his first wife? Does she have the right to demand from him? They've been seperated for 3 years and agreed not to chase each other anymore. Thank you in advance for all your answers guys!

I'm 16 and as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a sniper. I'm a very outgoing girl, and I'm really strong to. I grew up with all boys and they're all in the armed services. They love it. I love a challenge! I'm in 3 different martial arts classes and I'm top of the class. I have a brown belt and two green belts. I go hunting with my father and I love guns and I love to shoot. I also love to fight. My only refferal was for beating up a fellow football player. I play football, and I love the thrill the game gives me. I would love to be in the arm services, but I don't like medical and I wanna be front line. I can prove myself to anyone. I know it's not like halo, but I wanna do this. It's just kinda messed up that my gender is keeping me from my aspiration.

When it comes to sacrifice, the Johnston family has given far more than most. Mr. Johnston's brother was killed in Vietnam in 1970. His son Gary, named for the uncle he never met, was killed in Iraq earlier this year.

"Before my son left for Iraq," says Mr. Johnston, "we sat down in the living room, and he planned his funeral. He had few requests. He did ask to be buried next to his uncle, in Archer City." I told him Vietnam was a worthless war and the Iraq war was and is based on lies but my son still enlisted and went to war and died." Why didn't the USA learn from Vietnam?" Mr Johnson said. Why?

I just figured that since I don't know where I should go, I will just try both y'know from Marines I will switch to Air Force and If I like the Air Force I will stay, but If I don't I will go back to the Marines

Since most people think I should go to the AF since I graduated in the Top 10 of my class and I graduated High School 2 years earlier and I have a lot of scholarships in the table, don't get me wrong I like the AF's benefits but I know deep down what I really want is the Marines since I was like 11 or 12, but if the AF will work for me, I am willing to change, it is better to serve your country where your country really needs you and where you will be better off, right??? I am one confused teenager =(

When I was in the military it was against the law to allow a Field manual out to the general public for ten years and was considered classified, so two months ago Yahoo published the net web site on how to handle terriosts and it was the latest field manual released from the Department of defense. Can they be help liable for releasing top-secret information to the public and possibly into enemy hands?

Okay...What is the possibilities of an US Navy ship sinking today? Not from an attack but like how the Titantic did? I heard that the Navy's ships are so well made that even if split down the middle the ship should still float? Is that true or untrue? I never heard of a Navy Ship sinking and an attack on the US Navy was decades ago even though in today's world anything can happen. I heard the Navy is pretty safe. You can travel the world and get a good education. Only downer I heard was they don't give a damn about your family and you are on the ship for mostly a year at a time! But it is probably a good decision to consider.

Oh yeah, I don't want nor need no trash talking from an arrogant marine, lousy army soldier or an Airmen clown...Just positive feedback cuz I could give a damn about any other branch but Navy...Thanks...

I went on a retreat where a dozen guys were bunked in a cabin. I couldn't sleep, so I took a walk. When I returned, all of them were breathing deep--inhaling and exhaling in perfect unison!

Have you witnessed this? Can you point me to research or mention of this?
