So if America would ever institute a draft how would I avoid going to war? And is there any jobs in the army that don't require fighting?

I don't actually think that America is going to draft but I am saying IF sometime in my lifetime.

My husband was in Navy when he was young, he told me I will have to go to the boot camp, and going to get abused, is this true or is it just one of his scare tacktics??

The Chineese govt. is ruthless and they are very willing to sacrifice many of their cities in a nuclear war, they would be more than willing to use Nukes too- but could the USA come up with a tactical response to win against such a ruthless enemy?

CBS News gathered the information and the results are staggering. They estimated that, in 2005 alone, 6,256 veterans killed themselves after returning from Iraq or Afghanistan. This figure does not include those soldiers who kill themselves while serving. It breaks down to 120 veterans weekly, and 17 vets every day.

The Department of Veteran's Affairs and other agencies claim that these suicides have nothing to do with military service, but are because of "personal problems." But others feel that the head traumas sustained and the gut-wrenching experiences of this war are causing deep depression and suicide after returning home.

My question is, why do you think this is happening, and what can be done to prevent these veterans from taking their own lives?

So, I mailed my first care package to my husband about 3 weeks ago. The USPS said that the Military Mail Service would have the package in about 2 days. My husband is on a sub, so I was told that the package would be taken to his current port (if in) or his next port (if underway).

He still hasn't received it yet.

Anyone know how long it take on average to deliver the packages?

Are you old enough to remember what happened on dec 7th 1947?

If you were alive then, do you remember where you were when you heard?

What were your thoughts and feelings at that time?

How do you feel NOW?!?

If it happened today, would Bush's critics in Washington, and the media, drag their feet on entering WWII?

Was WWII a righteous war?

in Iraq that the worldwide price of copper went down. Looting went on right under the noses of soldiers who had no orders to stop it. Looking back was it a big mistake to just stand back and allow so much looting to go on?

My husband is a Corporal in the National Gaurd upon returning back from his training in july he came home to find he no longer had a job. he is being deployed in jan so he had four different training dates from august to dec, all at least three weeks in length. so This made finding a job next to impossible. Finally a company hired him and he worked for about a month before being layed off due to plant shut down. the money he has made on his training has been just enough to keep us afloat. we have three daughters which we have kept in the dark on this situation, but i dont know what we are going to do for christmas. he has one more session of training before he leaves and that wont cover our bills let alone buy gifts for our girls. I hate to ask anyone for help but at this point i dont think we have a choice. my girls are losing their daddy for a year and a half and i hate to make things worse for them at christmas. so any help would be appreciated I just need information. THANK YOU

most people who are in the military and against gay people's enrollment are not really sure about their own sexuality (consciously or unconsciously). since while in war they are sexually deprived! otherwise why would they be against gay people's open participation then?

My guess is that the pilot who has mastered his machine can win this--either aircraft, but consider all the advantages of each of these highly maneuverable aircraft. Because of the Harrier's short legs, we will limit the combat to 15 minutes or less.

The Harrier is allowed to use vectored thrust and the Falcon is allowed to use its speed and climb rate.

Who gets a victory roll and who gets to occupy the smoking hole in the ground?

In an interview, an independent American firearms designer claims to have a better product than the M-16, known for disfunction in the field.
Didn't catch the name of the weapon or the inventor. He claims to have submitted it to the Army. It was rejected, the program said, because of the in-house resistance to change. The program then went on to other items rejected due to the same reasons & other products that are outdated but are resistant to changing.
Does anyone have any information on this firearm? Thank you.
