theres a start for you, there are so many places, and Christmas isnt the only time, they love to get letters all the time! thanks for taking the time! if you have the time, give the addresses to a few friends and relatives as well, its a wonderful way of supporting our troops!!! writing anytime is great!!! other ideas are getting in touch with the local base or National Guard, they will be sening packages out thrrough the FRG or will be able to give you lists of things you can send as well as addresses. feel free to contact me @ debicooley@att.net for more ideas as well!

LONG LIST, but heres the one from my "fridge" for Sgt., what one doesnt use, they always share with others! I know its a long one, but you can always pick and choose from it!
1. chapstick
2. white crew socks
3. foot powder/cream/lotion
4. shoe/boot inserts
5. small bottles of medicines (aspirin, etc)

8. BEEF JERKY
9. hard candies/gum
10. writing paper/pens/cards/envelopes to send to loved ones

17. LOCAL newspaper clippings
18. National sports clippings
19. pictures of family & friends
20. letters from neighbors/friends/kids at the local schools!
21. toothbrushes/dental floss
22. batteries (IF needed)
23. disposable razors
24. flat pouches of tuna fish
25. canned sardines/smoked salmon
26. magnifying glass
27. power bars/nutrition bars
28. flavor packets to add to water bottles
29. season salts/Taco Bell season packets (IN ZIPLOCKS!)

sending care packages....when I was in Afghanistan we got packages from people back in the states and we were SO happy and grateful! things we comonly got were:
magazines-guns/hunting/4X4/sports/cars, etc
beef jerky
pixy sticks
assorted candy
hand warmers (best thing ever!)
cards
prepaid phone cards (awsome)
hacky sacks (yeah...old school, but great fun)

Soldiers on overseas duties must be given the honor they deserve by sending Britney Spears dressed in Santa Claus to give them a nice concert.
