How can I tell my parents I want to go to military school? I already found a school I want to to go to, but I don't know how to tell my parents!!! Please help me. And whats it like at military school. I want to join for a college prep and get discipline and I sort of want to join the arm force but i am not sure and maybe a military school can help me decide?

You do realize if you go to military school does not mean that you have to join the military. Try that approach to see if they like that.

Talk to your parents and tell them why you feel a military school would be good for you. Academics and discipline go hand in hand at a military school. After you complete a prep military school, you can then apply to attend West Point, Naval Academy or Air Force Academy. Upon graduation from one of the Academies, you would be a Commissioned Officer and can choose which branch of the Armed Forces that interest you.

I assume you are talking about a military academy such as the Hargave Academy and not a service academy? Just explain that to your parents and that you have no requirement to go into the military just because you attend a civillian military institute; do check that because in some you might have an obligation if you jon the ROTC.

good for you....sit down with them and show them all the material you have on the school and explain why you think this is the right choice for you.....you can say things like "I think the structure will help me be more productive and I'll benifit from it...."

good luck!
