You earn 30 days of leave a year. This does not mean that you can take 30 days together! All leave must be approved well in advance. I've not met anyone who actually uses all thier leave. My husband has over 100 days of leave accrued because he just can't take leave very much due to his job.

A Whole lot depends on your local command. There are also a lot of different incentives like in the coast guard there was sailor of the quarter and such. But basically you earn 30 days per year leave time. You have to have approval to use leave time tho so its not something you can just decide to take at any time.
Being in the navy they might also have stand down periods when in port (not certain on that but i know they had it in the coast guard) where the work day is a whole lot shorter then the normal work day.

every month you earn 2.5 days of leave for a total of 30 days earned per year. you have to ask for leave, fill out the paperwork, it gets approved if you have the days to take and you can go, usually 10-14 days or so at a time. some commands even will let you go "in the hole" 5 days but not all of them! you also entitled to leave in between duty stations providing you have enough earned, this is usually 30 days but again only if you have the days earned up.

Every branch of the military earns 2 1/2 days of leave per month, 30 days total per year. Most commands won't let you take all 30 days at once, but in our unit we can take up to 24 at a time.

2.5 days of paid leave are given to each AD member each month. You can take a couple of days at a time or several weeks, depending on what the command will approve. Sometimes you will not be able to get time off for awhile, especially if you are deloyed. With the leave it does include weekends, so be prepared for that when planning in advance.

leave is earned at 2.5 days per month for a total of 30 days per year. When you can take them is entirely dependent on OPTEMPO and Command Policy.

everyone is right that most won't let you take 30 days, but I was stationed with a guy who actually got to take of 40 days. He took it right before xmas, so he got all those four day weekends on top of it.
