In Iraq and Afghanistan?

2007-10-04 07:47:09 · 7 answers · asked by stephy 2

I have a little clue on this. I know that if you are in the Navy & you're on tour you go where your ship goes, and if you're in the AF, Army & Marines you go were your troop goes or where you are assigned too.

Now, can a military service man be deployed alone? How about a Private Military Contractors?

I went AWOL from the army in 2004 after basic training . I never made it to my unit. I really have no idea what is going on with the AWOL thing. I called
the army yesterday gave them my social security number, my name, my
address and when they entered me into the computer they said I had no
warrant out for my arrest and asked me if I had my DD214's since it stated on
their record as me being seperated in 2004. But I do not have those
papers???

During WWII, Democrat President, Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the "internment" (arrest) of Japanese people living in the United States.

Today, president day Liberals seem to enjoy citing this fact as evidence in support of their claim that 'America is racist' while continently neglecting to mention that it was THEIR PRESIDENT who ordered the internment.

Another fact these Liberals always seem to forget to mention is that, along with the Japanese, members of the German-American Bund were interned, often in the very same camps.

This repeated oversight seems to suggest that Liberals believe that, while it is wrong to intern non-Caucasian people, such as the Japanese, it is perfectly acceptable for their leaders to intern Caucasian people.

Looking at the situation objectively though, the Japanese and the Bund members were "interned" for the same reasons, namely that they worshiped men the US was at war with and treated these men as pseudo gods.

He joined Iraq veterans against the war, yet he was never in Iraq, he washed out of the military after 42 days in boot camp. Does this make Iraq veterans against the war less credible?

Instead of joining the military and working your butt off all day, everyday. Just go to college or get a job and work just as hard. How successful do you think you would be?

I mean, don't we have an army.. supposedly the best in the world?
Why do we hire Blackwater's mercenaries at a ridiculously high rate? Can we pay our own Special Ops that salary and get rid of a war profiteering company that shoots up civilians?

I started working as a contractor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey this week. This morning for the first time, I witnessed colors - people in uniform saluted and I think cars even stopped driving. It's an awesome thing to see, but I wasn't sure exactly what I (civilian) was supposed to do, so I just stopped and stood until everyone else started moving again.

What is the proper behavior for a civilian? And if I'm in a car when it starts, do I stop driving?

I lost touch with a very good friend ten years ago. I helped save his life and get him sober and clean. Not as a girlfriend or a sexual thing, but as the best friend of his very troubled girlfriend. I am thinking of him but he has a very common name so it is difficult to find him. Is there a website or service that helps people find servicemen who are no longer on active duty?

President Reagan called the Mujahideen of Afghanistan the “Moral Equivalent of the Founding Fathers of America” ?

REAGAN ADMIRED THE TALIBAN / MUJAHIDEEN

At the height of the Afghan jihad, Ronald Reagan is said to have praised mujahideen madrassa students as "the moral equivalent of the Founding Fathers [of America]".

In 1985, President Ronald Reagan received a group of beardedmen. They were very ferocious-looking bearded men with turbans looking like they came from another century. President Reagan received them in the White House. After receiving them he spoke to the press. He pointed towards them, I'm sure some of you will recall that moment, and said, "These are the moral equivalent of America's founding fathers". These were the Afghan Mujahiddin. They were at the time, guns in hand, battling the Evil Empire. They were the moral equivalent of our founding fathers!

Oh and if a guy stumbles upon this question what do you think of us? I'm a navy wife and in these 4 years I've seen a lot of cool places, grown up a lot but its also been the toughest 4 years of my life. I can't wait for my husband to get out though. God bless all you brave strong women. I feel our society doesn't give enough credit to us women holding down the fort. Military wife toughest job in navy/army/marines/airforce!

A friend of mine, decided to join the Marines. When the recruiter asked him if he had ever tried Marijuana he said yes,2x about 6 years ago.
Before he signed his contract his classifier asked him the same question, so he gave them the same answer that he had done it 2x about 6 years ago, he signed his contract and everything was fine
So, yesterday I was talking to him, and he was very worried that his decision of being honest could have cost him an opportunity of ever becoming an officer or per se an E-8 or E-9. Is that correct information?
Will the fact that he actually told the truth become an issue with his military career?
My friend said that 99% of the individuals that come across lie about it, so should he have lied about it?
