I have a little clue on this. I know that if you are in the Navy & you're on tour you go where your ship goes, and if you're in the AF, Army & Marines you go were your troop goes or where you are assigned too.

Now, can a military service man be deployed alone? How about a Private Military Contractors?

Soldiers can deploy as part of a unit or as individual augmentees. While most deploy as part of a unit, or as an individual who will meet up with their assigned unit in theater, some are deployed as individuals to fill specific positions. This is also true for other branches.

When soldiers are deployed as part of a unit, they normally depart from their assigned base, travel to the nearest Air Force Base or airport and fly on a contracted civilian aircraft (where the military has contracted for the entire aircraft to move the unit from home station to theater). When a soldier is an individual augmentee, they may be put on a plane with a larger unit (as described above) or they may fly commercial under certain circumstances.

Soldiers are only deployed with units. They may be sent alone to meet their perspective unit that is already deployed. But not deployed alone

They go with their units, but sometimes once they get to Iraq they can be assigned to different areas. But everyone goes in a group with their unit unless they have had to fly home for some emergency, ect.

Yes, servicemembers can be deployed alone and as part of a unit.

yes to both. Units deploy, as do individuals who are 'borrowed' from one unit to augment another one.
