It because our president, elected by lack-wit conservatives, cannot admit he lied and committed a colossal blunder. If he could confess he could declare victory and withdraw or forces. (Leaving some in secure bases ). But until then Americans will continue to be murdered, dying in vain.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) continues in order to establish a democratic and self sustaining government and to rebuild valuable infrastructure in Iraq and to train a military and police force to defend and protect Iraq.
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) continues for similar reasons in Afghanistan. OEF also attempts to defeat Taliban and Al-Qaida fighters and to hunt for bin Laden and other high value terror suspects.

So you and the rest of the American Citizens can be free from suicide bombers, IED explosives
from happening in the good old USA and so far
the US ARMED FORCES are doing a helluva good job!!
