Cant blame Islam for Reagans policies.......

The CIA created Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban by printing books about Jihad against the evils of communism…. and then they blame Islam ?

President Reagan called the Mujahideen of Afghanistan the “Moral Equivalent of the Founding Fathers of America” ?

REAGAN ADMIRED THE TALIBAN / MUJAHIDEEN

At the height of the Afghan jihad, Ronald Reagan is said to have praised mujahideen madrassa students as "the moral equivalent of the Founding Fathers [of America]".

In 1985, President Ronald Reagan received a group of beardedmen. They were very ferocious-looking bearded men with turbans looking like they came from another century. President Reagan received them in the White House. After receiving them he spoke to the press. He pointed towards them, I'm sure some of you will recall that moment, and said, "These are the moral equivalent of America's founding fathers". These were the Afghan Mujahiddin. They were at the time, guns in hand, battling the Evil Empire. They were the moral equivalent of our founding fathers!

Let's go back a little further in history, ~1960 -> ~1980, when Afghanistan was one of the most liberal countries on the planet. It was not the Afghanistan we think of today, women were working and wearing mini-skirts. Pop culture was everywhere. This was what Reagan supported, against Russia's communism. He didn't know that the Taliban would become an oppressive enforcer of Sharia law. The Taliban were allies of convenience, they fought as a proxy army for the US against Russia.

One, not all of the mujaheddin where extremist that became terrorist. The current government of Afghanistan has several members who where in the mujaheddin and are still working with us. The Taliban did not form until after the USSR left Afghanistan and the country broke out in civil war.

Two, what do you think we are doing in Afghanistan. We are eating are apple pie, or Taliban and Al Quad. They proved they could not be left around so we are killing them now.

I just love it when someone uses snippets from history to blame America for the violence rendered onto them -- as if to say, "you brought it on yourselves."

It like the "seven degrees" game.... look hard enough and you can always find a relationship somewhere.

Have you found the CIA order instructing Muslims to fly two planes into the World Trade Center yet?

Yeah… I think you posted this as an answer to one of my questions.

While I am well aware of the CIA’s past mistakes and I regret them I have two words for those who would kill our civilians and impose Sharia law on America:

__ck you.

We will not lie down like dogs and die and we will kick your collective a_ses back to the deserts you came from.
