When nothing could be farther from the truth.
American Military Technology is so far advanced over their junk it is not even funny.
I know, I've been studying Military Technology since I was 10 (30 years ago)
One Platoon worth of Abrams M1A2 MBT's are worth at least One Brigade of Russian T80 MBT's or one Division of Chinese Type 90 MBT's, combat performance wise.
To Me it is just silly.

When you stepped on one, you cannot lift your foot right? Otherwise the landmine will explode and blow you to smithereens. Say you have a bag with you with stuff you can use to escape 'certain death', how would you do it?

Some say we should leave Iraq as quickly as safely possible - months. Others say we must phase the withdrawal over years. Some say we must keep a residual force there indefinately. What do you say?

The following is from Bill Richardson (Dem candidate for Pres)

"I want you to see a column that ran in yesterday's Washington Post:

Five years on, the Iraq war is as undermanned and under-resourced as it was from the start. And, five years on, Iraq is in shambles.

That sounds like something I'd say. I've been calling for an immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops since I entered this race.

But I'm not the one who wrote yesterday's column.

Twelve U.S. Army captains wrote it. And they join a growing chorus of military voices demanding an immediate change in our country's disastrous Iraq policies."

I heard someone tell me that cell phones go back a lot longer then the 80's and 90's, that the military had a cell phone maybe as far back as the Vietnam War or before that. I dont know how advanced it was, but it was supposedly what they today are based upon.

can anyone confirm that for me?

It's a shame that we are forced to take history class because we are supposed to learn from the past, yet most people never do. The time seems so right for a 3rd world war to happen. The middle east is a huge mess with tensions growing every day. The U.S. has alienated many of it's allies and probably has created more enemy's in the last 5 years then ever before. North Korea wants nuclear weapons, the PRC desperatly wants to have more world influence, power, and it is obvious they are planning something against the Republic of China. Africa has continued to be just a HUGE mess filled with genocide, diesease and barbaric dictators. What do you think will be the actual trigger? I think that it will either be a U.S. attack agianst Iran or a PRC invasion of Taiwan.

During the Iraq/Iran Iraq attacked Iran with chemical weapons and Iran did not retaliate because Iran didn't want go against the Koran even though they had the weapons to do so and even though if they had they would have won the war { as many historians now suggest } Iran saw there religion as more important then a win and more important then a historical footnote .

So my question is - Why do people believe the Iranians would launch Nuclear weapons ? Which is also against the Koran , since it scorches the earth and destroys all life .

There are 500k active troops in the US Army. There are 37 combat brigades. Assuming about 5000 soldiers in each brigade, there are only ~175k troops in combat brigades. Where is everyone else? And what units are they in?

I know there are thousands of personel in different areas such as the Army Corps of Engineers, Materials Command, Training Command, etc. but doesn't the combined manpower of these areas amount to single digit thousands?

So where are the rest of the troops?

I am writing a story which features an officer in the British Army during World War I as a character. Would all British Army Second Lieutenants have commanded a full platoon of more than 30 people, or is it possible that some might have ended up commanding sections of just 5-8 men instead?

Do you think any of the democrats who signed the letter of protest to Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays even listened to the program?

Mr. Limbaugh was talking about "phony soldiers" who claimed to have been in the military and in Iraq but were not either one.

Just shows another Democratic ploy to tear down the truth.

Original letter is being auctioned on eBay proceeds to be matched by Mr Limbaugh and donated to the The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation which encourages the spiritual, moral and intellectual development of children through education. The Foundation was formed in February 1995, by former Marines and law enforcement personnel who strongly believe that our nation's most precious resource is its youth.
