I agree with workerbee and the guy that said he would not bomb his own country...The war machine is trying to suck everybody back on the train for another ride and this time I don't think they really care if we come along for the ride or not! The people in control of this crap...can live anywhere in the world they want...and they do...untouched and unsoiled by us (the ones who build their empires)

With the exception of Rio and blahblah's answer I'd swear you were getting answers straight from the TV news or worse yet FOX news.
It is very apparent that many are misinformed and it is a great shame. Yes the president of Iran did say that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map. American news translation: He wants a nuclear bomb to kill the country of Israel and the USA.
Truthful story: There was no Israel prior to ww2 it was land of Palestine look on a old globe before 1944. The country shouldnt be there, nothing to do with the people.
He has no intension of wiping out his country by getting nukes and firing them at anyone, the retaliation would kill all his people. He is more of a humanitarian than bush. He has tried to make contact with bush, but is rejected every time. There is a lot of lessons to be learned listening to both sides.
See what he has to say and while you view the unedited version think, How would bush act if a Iranian reporter were to interview him in this same manner.

History indicates that chemical weapons were used by both sides during the 8 year conflict that was essentialy a draw.
The Iranians have said publicly and loudly that they think Israel should be wiped off the planet. They "coincidentally" want to have nuclear power. There is a madman in charge of Iran. Some say he's only a figurehead because the actually power lays in the hands of their religious leaders. However, he still seems to be talking for the country.
Koran or not, it is my belief that Iran desparately wants nuke weapons and will use them in the region at their first opportunity if given the chance.
The chance, however, is dwindling. The Israelis will not sit idly by and allow the Iranians to produce nuke weapons at the threat of their entire country being wiped off the map. The will, in due time, do airstrikes over those production facilities as they did in 1989 to Saddam's. The world governments will publicly condemn the airstrikes but will privately breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Launching Nukes against Infidels is a totally different story. Infidels or those who don't believe in their faith are exempt from the Koran. I was in Iraq, and we asked some of the Iraqi security guards we trained why they didn't fire their weapons at looters which was their mission. The reply from all of them as it's against our beliefs to fire at them. Iran will use nukes againsts Israel and others who they consider as infidels.

Because at that time the clown in charge now was only a security guard. You now have a total fanatic running Iran who has no morals or cares about any other country or regligion other than his own. If he, indeed, believed in principles of the Koran why would he even develop nuclear weapons? Answer - world domination and total persecution of all religions outside Islam.

Its part and parcel to demonizing a percieved enemy. We all know its all based in finances and the logistics of the Caspian Sea area. But to sell it to the mindless masses you have to do this sort of thing.

I think it is because of all the propagandist news stations feeding the American public what the Bush administration and Rupert Murdoch want them to believe. Just like they did after 9-11...
