And don't worry, I'm not just some idiot who wants to carry a gun. I'm a criminal justice major who is graduating in December and I just haven't decided exactly what I want to do from there. I already have my conceal and carry weapons permit and go to the firing range on a regular basis. I just wanted more info to help me decide which direction I want to take my degree.

All you need is a complete ignorance of the law. Then you can keep working at taco bell and have your gun.

As an agent in any Federal Law Enforcement organization
For example, the FBI and DEA.
You typically need a university degree to be eligible for a job there - any will do, but something relevant or useful like Criminology or Medicine will go a long way. As for work experience, anything particularly stressful will increase your chances of being selected for training, but regular policing or military experience will help a lot.
...and don't tell them you want to carry a gun.

Carrying a firearm is an heavy responsibility not be taken lightly. Maturity and judgement is far more important than marksmanship or tactical training. You must be willing to kill someone and live with the consequences. Most LE officers will never use their weapons in 20+ years. Don't be lured into something by movies or television. Real life isn't so simple.

Anybody working in Federal Law enforcement /Federal Agent. Look up any of the agencies that interest you, and their websites have all the info you'd like. All Federal Agents can carry anywhere, even on planes, etc. Not so for other non-federal law enforcement. They have more restrictions.

police, security guard, FBI, DSS, ranger, Detective, store robber, CIA, Hunter, Counter terrorism, soldier. Depends really on which type of job you want, what type of life you want and how much danger you are able to live sanely with. I know that to be DSS you need to spend several years in the millitary, need to pass extensive background checks, be in peak physical condition, and have years of combat experience, and have an excellent education. As for security guard, well probably gun safety class course or something like that. Whyd you want to blow thigns up anyways?

One I was checking out if I got out of the Army was Loomis Fargo, they carry side-arms because they are driving armored trucks full of money. Also alot of private security jobs do too.
