Military - October 2007

I hear all the time how hard Marine boot camp is and how tough you have to be to get through special forces and Navy SEAL training. I just wanted to know is army BCT that hard too.

I just got out as a Sergeant in the Marines. I was infantry and now i can not find any decent paying jobs because i have almost no marketable skills besides leadership capabilities. I don't want to go back in the Marines but i want to at least profit from my military experience before i go back to school and make the next move with my life.So if anyone knows some decent companies that are hiring that would be a huge help for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

Alright i have like 3 weeks before i leave... I am not in Perfect shape... But i am in good shape... Now my question is. should i just keep on lifting weight, but hit them harder... Or should i focus on endurance for a while now... I am working on my push ups.. Can do 30 none stop in like 45 seconds...

Hello all!
I'm doing a project on the country of North Korea for a project for my Chinese I class.
I'm having troubles finding the following answers;
Requirments ( to join I suppose)
Age limit
Time limit
and Female vs Male ( I'm guessing this means is there any difference between the two when it comes to the military)

A recruiter came to my class and gave us a bunch of information, i told my mom these info and she thinks its very beneficial and that at least i dont have to worry about money while i go to college if i join the air force. is that true? i want to become a doctor, what is the process for someone to do that? do i first go into training? or go to school? if you are in the air force tell me what you went through, and your process?

Or does he need to convince a democratic Congress to declare war by a majority of vote? Can he start bombing countries and call it a 'conflict' (I hear Vietnam, etc.. were 'conflicts'), therefore cleverly avoiding 'war' but still getting what he wants? How does this work?

I am going to be moving cross country soon and i am looking for some info on the Marine Corps policy on Advanced DLA when you seperate honorably, any help would be awesome if you have actually made the move from Camp Pendleton to Ohio please let me know how much you got paid. Our country used to have a siren go off, every so often, like once in 2 or 3 yrs and it was just a test to let the country know that should your country become under a war attack, that the siren would go off and warn you to go to shelters or take refuge somewhere.It was a country - wide allert to let you know that your country was under attack.We use to practice this drill at school, or your workplace, or even shopping malls. I haven't heard it for at least 10 yrs. Why not???

They made the German army fight on 3 fronts ( east, west, and south with Africa ) and they basically did nothing during the whole war except surrender to the Allied powers( I never heard they won any significant battles at least on their own unlike their counterparts Japan and Germany )

Bonus Question: What if it was Russia on Germany's side instead of Italy, would the axis powers have won the war?
