Well first off, It's not the US telling Turkey they can't invade. Iraq is its own country. The Kurdish people have been fighting against Turkey, Iraq and Iran for their own country for decades. The region that they live has a lot of oil fields and is wanted by all of three countries because of this reason.

Secondly, Americans aren't stealing oil from anywhere. Iraq is trying to stabilize its economy and the greatest assets they have as a country is the oil fields. The US wants to buy the oil from them so the Iraqi economy will stabilize and we can go home.

If the Middle East had no oil fields nobody would be doing anything about them. Every country in the world needs oil and they have most of it. It is a control thing, it's no different than somebody has something you want. If you want it you are more willing to work with them to get it. If they don't have anything you want, you are less willing to work with them. It's what the world economy has become.

Turkey needs to get over their bigotry against Kurds and find a political solution to this problem, or work together with Iraq and its Kurdish Region to starve out the PKK.
