She is such a slack @ss and cares nothing about school except what boys are around... I think shes immature and lacks a serious drive. I want to know if you are in the airforce and if its a great place for a woman to get her voice and get an education... I know she cant join until shes 18, but I really want to plan on this path for her... or try to convince her this is a good route.... ???

Even if you omit the "under God" part, does standing for the pledge, just because you assume shows respect for the military being honest? Someone made a comment that they merely stand for the pledge and place their hands over their heart, because if they didn't to them that would show disrespect for the military and people who have served in wartime. In other words, the actions are meant to show respect. This person doesn't really care what the pledge represents or isn't really interested in the pledge. They are just standing because apparently that is what they think people in the military would like and it is a tradition. I always thought that you are suppose to feel patroism for your country and not just treat it as a force tradition.

To me this seems a bit phony. How can doing something because that is what you think they want to see you do, shows respect? It just seems that people don't know what patriosm really is.

I already asked this question in a specific subset of sociology, where I hoped to get an enlightened response, but only got the typical anti-war resoponses. So, to a more average, militaristic audience, where is the unity and support for the soldiers and their mission that existed in World War 2? I'm not saying to blindly believe whatever the politicians tell us. I have issues with how the war got started and things that have happened. But, shady dealings and bad decisions will always happen and always have happened (internment of Japanese Americans in WWII, segregated units, etc.), its in human nature. By holding rallies "against the war" (ie against their mission), you provide propaganda material for the enemy and hurt the morale of the troops. Morale effects the troops more than any civilian could understand, and it can result in additional casualties or emotionally damaged soldiers who questioned their decision to join (so don't say you oppose the war and support the troops).

He passed all the course tests with a high B average but couldn't pass the last test. He was just pulled from the Whiskey training. He was told he may be able to be in holding for 6 months and come back to try the medic again. He wants to come home and take the emt at a local college and go back proir service but we are not sure if he can or he just has to pick another job. Any advice would be great!

My boyfriend is in the Air Force, we have been together for about a year and a half. My boyfriend has had a medical restriction for the past couple of years due to testicular cancer so he has not been able to be deployed outside of the United States. He feels this is limiting his opportunities and is working on getting the restriction removed. When/if he does get stationed at an overseas base, I am worried about being able to find a job. By then we will be married, I currently work in ATM/Debit card processing and have had experience in various career fields and am working on getting my degree. According to my boyfriend, a lot of military wives have a difficult time finding a job overseas. I am not the type to not work, how difficult is it to find a job as a civilian overseas?

My husband is re-enlisting in the Army, and I wondered if our ferret is welcome on post. What if we are assigned to California where they are illegal? Will they move him with us if we are assigned overseas or to Alaska or Hawaii? Note that we are talking about a domestic ferret here, not a wild one.

My husband and i have been married for 3 years and he is currently deployed. I got an email from him saying that he cant see our marriage lasting because of our split before he joined. He said that he will never be able to let that go. We were fine after we got back together and we were fine until he joined the army. Now, It seems as if he just dpesnt love me anymore. I think it has to do with money problems and the Army puting **** in his head. They are ruining our marriage. What can i do to get us back to where we were before he left. Is this normal? I love him so much but it seems that it isnt enough. He doesnt get R&R until december and i dont think i can hang on to him that long. What can i do? I am so confused. Help me please:(

I know I had childhood Asthma, only had an attack like once. I went to some specialist when I was about 12, he diagnosed me with Asthma. Even then I never used an inhaler. I am currently 17 and I still never use an inhaler, no point. I even occasionally smoke and I don’t suffocate or start coughing or wheezing, im fine. I know you can still join with childhood Asthma but, I honestly don’t know the last time I was treated for it; my physician was a sicopath, she use to proscribe inhalers for every cough I use to get. I am scared that if I disclose the fact I had childhood Asthma, they will check my records and find something I am unaware of. So do you think I should lie or be straight forward? I am also scared of the consequences of lying; I heard if one is caught lying they can get a felony on their recorded and a dishonorable discharge. Is that true? The last thing I want to do is F up my life, all I want to do is serve my country.

Thank You, Sorry if my grammar or spelling sucked, I am just in a hurry. Once again thank you for your time.

P.S Serious comments only, no anti Bush or anti war comments please. Just answer my question, thank you.

i am currently in Iraq getting ready to come home. I am supposed to ets about 1 year from when i get home. But on my LES they changed the date from december 08 to april of 09. They did it to a lot of people and said it was a mistake but its been 3 months and I don't think they are gonna fix it. I want out of the army. Are they already stop lossing me, or rather why would they change the date this early. I am mostly worried about being stoplossed for my units next deployment. which depending on where i go will be spring or summer of 09. But why would they change the date now?

This person was puting this type of thing out on the military Answers and didn't expect to get my type of reply? This was not her or its only BS Question. Afew of the poeple reported it including myself.
I served this country for 10 years and in time of war. I worked for the City of New York in a uniform on 9-11. I woked at the pile just 12 hours after them pigs killed 2600 people in my home town. So If someone attacks our brave troops calling them idiots. They should expect to get some nasty replys.
I'm not sorry I hurt the little piggies feelings. In fact I'm Glad it hit a nerve.

Question: should we replace 'hoo-rah!' with 'im an idiot!'?
Question Details: it sounds pretty accurate to me
Deleted Answer: no well use your mothers name. like whore. that'll work God bless America ,our troops and our way of life.
