They have to be bigger, stronger, faster to protect their clients. Isn't this a place where the use of steroids should be allowed?

Steroids don't stop bullets or shrapnel. The best soldiers/contractor uses his mind along with his senses to be aware of his surroundings. Body armor and vehicle armor will help protect you from bullets and ied's. Then you have your gun/rifle to shoot at things/enemy. Every time you're out in sector, you have an adrenaline high. Anymore testosterone and you'll be tearing off heads of the people you live. Because one doesn't shower, another's feet stink, you have'nt had sex in who knows how long, and all you want is to drink a beer. Take steroids in Iraq and you will probably be going home early for a number of reasons.

Obvious reasons aside....

No its probley not ok. Anabolic steroids have a whole slew of problems associated with health.

They work for a civilian company which provides them medical insurance.

The company involved wouldnt be allowed to insure its employees if it didnt conduct drug testing. I seriously doubt any insurer would cover individuals who were allowed to use anabolic steriods without a doctors supervision, and even then there are major health risks involved.

You want healthy physically fit people in the field, not health risks. Being in that environment is a health risk in itself.
