I live in the Sacramento Area. I am 18 and will be a freshman in College this fall. I wanted to know is there any way of getting military training near the Sacramento Area without really joining the military or national guard? Just the training.

On the Taiwan strait, China wants to invade Taiwan, and the US forign policy is at stake in East Asia. China is the dominate influence in East Asia, and it's the matter of time US will go to war again. China has made threats against any country interfering. Taiwanese president if re-elected will make independence confrimed in 08-09.

If we go to war with China, can we still have our cheap products?

Who will win? How would we win?

America is powerful, but I dont think it's powerful than it was in the 80's and 90's thanks to Bush/CLinton/Reagon military cuts.

If a person was in the AF and got a re-enlistment code of recode:2X and a spd:jbk and then joined the Army after a few months and got a general discharge for unsatisfactory preformance or a med board are they entitled to there VA benefits.

Also can they re-join the AF or even the Navy? In the reserve/guard or active component?

Somebody else posted this question, but it seems to be inaccessible for some reason. It's a great question, illustrating actual perspective and consideration for the Iraqi people who are supposed to be the people we are helping over there.

I don't know why I couldn't access the question, so I posted it again, just to see what happens. My apologies and compliments to the original poster.

As many may know the USS Pueblo has been in the hands of North Korea for quite some time. My question is
Assuming that the ship is in reasonably good condition what would it take to steal back the ship?
In the event that recovery of the vessel is impossible what would it take to destroy the vessel beyond repair?

Does anybody know if I can be an 11B Infantry soldier in the North Dakota National Guard? The only MOS's that I see are mostly construction. I'd be living in Jamestown. I'm willing to drive to another town if they have any Infantry Guard positions elsewhere in the state. Thanks!

Dear veterans and LEF officers,

I am working on second survey of the real-life combat use of the M16/ M4 ammunition magazines.

In shooting range, the soldiers and the officers are told to collect the used / emptied magazines after the shooting practice is over.

But in real-life combat situation, I was wondering if you throw out the emptied ammunition magazines and not recover them.

This question is especially focusing on the current Iraq war, where there are heavy urban CQBs take place very often.

I have been reading numerous reports that the soldiers enter a house, then finds the insurgents, and engage in firefight. Then the soldiers leave the house, and call the tank or air support to blow up the house, while the insurgents still in there.

In the situation above, clearly, there is no time to recover the used magazines.

But I want to have a surefire answer.

is it true that the U.S. Army uses M16/ M4 magazines

MOSCOW - Russian bombers have flown to the island of Guam — home to a major U.S. military base — for the first time since the Cold War in an exercise intended to show the Kremlin's resurgent military power, an air force general said Thursday.
They've also flown into British airspace.
What do you think they're aiming to show? Perhaps that their air force is gaining strength?
