I have read a lot about the terrorist problem in Asia and here's the truth of these.

CIA , they tried to get rid of terrorist in US and use a countries in Asia as a new target.

Do you know CTIC? They setted a quarter of CTIC in another countries for being a tester countries for US to get rid of JI and Al Qaeda . But these countries received no benefit from this program at all , all of benefit goes to US.

Now many countries in Asia are facing a serious problem with the terrorist , go search which country. And CIA just ignore the sh.. they have dumped on us!

Anyone have any comment on these?

My husband signed a 5 year contract because he was told that he would not be able to specialize in a certain field of expertise. The rationale being the schooling would take 18 months. Well, the schooling took 90 days and my husband was deployed before he even served 18 months in the military. He didn't get the training he was told. Needless to say, my husband regrets his decision. Don't get me wrong though, he is the gullable one for believing the recruiter to begin with. But, are there any penalties for this misleading information? Is there anyway to get a hold of the original contract? Are recruiters held accountable for the lies that they tell? I have heard stories and read books about people in similar situations....

The personal fitness test that people are required to do in the military are different among the two genders. There are clearly two distinct charts with different requirements. Yet, when I was interviewing a woman in the army, she said the physical requirements were the same.

In finances, the higher the return on your investment, the higher the risk associated with your investment. Given this basic truth, lets examine what is going on with a typical soldier or armed forces personnel.
A soldier has life benefits to his/her service. You get vehicle discounts, money from the government, paid education, shelter, guaranteed salary in your military workplace. These benefits amount to HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars. What does a soldier risk? All you put on the line is your life. However, there is no guarantee of death. You may survive a war or there may be no war. THAT is the inherent risk you assume in the transaction.
Lets add in that the service is voluntary. Would it be fair if an investment existed where with no risk soldiers could reel in the benefits amounting to those sums? No! So a couple died. It's all in the risk! Considering how many people signed up for the armed forces, the number that died is rather subtle. So why are people so mad with wars?

Recruiting problems mean many militaries of the world are understaffed. Is it worth lowering fitness standards if that's what it takes to keep the military from shrinking to an inpractical size?

Keeping in mind that society has gone soft, and the average young man can't get down and do fifty pushups anymore. Sort of a trade-off between a large, powerful deployable force and a small, elite professional defence force.

As we all know people say stupid things and joke in times of happiness, times of stress and anxiety. However, I think joking about the death of your child so you can profit is henious and I am appauled. If a soldier dies in Iraq, the family or dependent gets 400,000. Who would want blood money? Who would want to see their son die so they could make some quick money? Who would joke about that in front of people, especially your son? Am I over reacting or is this over the top?

Did we really lose? How is it possible that the US of A actually lost? i prefer to think of it more as a stalemate. We never lost a battle, yet we lost the war. How did those bastards get us?

The cruelties perpetuated by US in Iraq [6,50,000 dead with millions more wounded] may explain and demonstrate the root
of this contradiction clearly: defeated, disarmed and destroyed
victims of an Absolute War are hardly going to feel themselves
agreeable to then being manipulated into any political
institutions or agreements designed by the perpetrators of the
violence. [ Article by S.Roy in The Statesman]

I am an enlisted soldier in the Army National guard (11B). I am in the ROTC SMP program as well. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how hard airborne training is. Do they smoke you a lot, how often do you run (etc..)? Also, how should I go about getting an airborne slot? Should I go through my unit or ROTC. How do I get started?

My little brother is in basic training in Ft. Sill, OK. It's very hard for him and his battalion to be cut off from the outside world, so I am trying to get as many people as possible to drop him a line, a postcard, a greeting card, a one-liner, anything through email for me to print out and send, because snail mail is all they can receive!

Shoot me an email at lindsayseitz@hotmail.com or lindsay.seitz@yahoo.com and I will print it out and send it to him.

After a while, I'm going to get the name of some guys there who aren't receiving any letters from anyone at home and I will start collecting letters and words of encouragement for them too!

Thank you ahead of time for all your support!

Hi. I am currently 15 years old. My family and I went to an airshow at an airforce base two yrs ago, and it had a stand representing the Civil Air Patrol. I had been wanting to join the air force ever since I was about 11.

My dad, an air force veteran, noticed my enthusiasm and encouraged me to join. At age 12, when I was old enough, I asked my mom and she prohobited me from joining because she used to be in the air force too and said it was 'no place for women." But this is my passion. She even lied to me and told me thst my dad didn't want me to do it (even though he was actually excited and supportive of me).

My mother is very narotic and my parents fight constantly. Please don't comment on her, as it would take too long to explain. trust me. Now, at 15, I have an unstoppable passion to join. I Ordered an information packet, and my dad is right there with me. I AM going to join. How will I handle my dad letting me and my mom not when it comes time to sign up?
