The answer would be shorter if you provided:
1. Who's records. If family the answer is go to the national Archives web site.
2. If it not a family member, drop it that info is not public domain to just anyone.
3. Do you suspect fraud of some type taking place.
4. Is someone claiming to been awarded The Medal of Honor. You can find a list of those people online and it is a crime to make that claim if false.
5. If someone is getting care from the VA under false pretense that is also a crime and should be reported.
6. If it is some jerk at a coffee shop just shooting his mouth off he/she might be telling the truth and if not it's just Bravo Sierra, let it go.

ask some one you know who is in the military to look them up on ako white pages, or the applicable branch website if they're not army. I'll even check if you give me the name.
