If a combatant is near-sighted doesn't that reduce his or her combat ability when wearing glasses especially during rain or snow storms.

I wear glasses myself and during the rain it blurrs my vision and makes all lots glary.

My boyfriend told me that he's interested in joining the Naval Reserves, last night. I've been a complete wreck since. I need information about the reserves, how they work, how they are different from the active forces, the chances of being deployed, will he be able to do the job he wants to, how can one be deployed if they only do 1 weekend a month? He's 25 with a college degree in marketing but has been out of work the past 2 months. He wants to do Media Relations work at the base in the city where we live. Apparently he thinks he's just going to walk in to this position at this particular base with no risk of being deployed. After talking with several people at work today, they've stated that this is def not the case. They said that recruiters will say anything you want to hear to get you in the door but it's never true afterwards. I was also told that reserves are the first to go overseas to Iraq and the like. Can somebody please provide me with accurate info? I'm a crying mess!

I want to get married but i know how hard it is when a civilian woman marries an enlisted/officer in the army from my parents (i could be wrong for u smart people). So, would it be better to spend my life with a beautiful enlisted woman than a civilian woman who doesnt really understand the life of a soldier.

If possible can someone tell me the pos. and neg. on both sides?

(and if u cant understand where im coming from don't put anything slick or smart, because i hate that, knowing u wouldnt actually say it too me).

The USA constantly messes with other nations business and starts wars that are uneccesary.

Our evil foolish nation has the blood of over 2 million Vietnamese on its hands that will never wash off.

Our military is assigned to follow our Presidents over every cliff and die for nothing.....our wars ...BENEFIT our defense contractors alone and harm everyone else.

The USA is a pathetic nation that does more harm than good

The USA will be HUMILIATED in IRAQ because that is exactly what it deserves, as our war of revenge backfires in the face of that idiot G W Bushy

So yeah has anyone else taken this test... I just finished it today for a CTI rate in the Navy. I scored 99/126, the LPO of classifing said that i needed a 100/126. On the CTI card it said that i needed a 95-99 for certain languages, and a 100 or above for another set of languages. Are there new rules for the DLAB or what?
