Depends if you enlist with a guaranteed job or under the " Open field " option.
You will leave alot sooner if you enlist under the open field option and wait to choose your job in basic.
If you want a guaranteed job, you might have to wait up to a year to leave for basic training.

Actually, your recruiter can't even answer that. Just the guys at MEPS. It'll be a little while, and it will depend on your MOS. YOu can't be in the DEP more than a year, though, so it will be within a year.

the longest you can be in DEP is 12 months. when exactly you ship will be determined by when your quarenteed school starts. they will schedule your trip to BT to coincide with that.
