So yeah has anyone else taken this test... I just finished it today for a CTI rate in the Navy. I scored 99/126, the LPO of classifing said that i needed a 100/126. On the CTI card it said that i needed a 95-99 for certain languages, and a 100 or above for another set of languages. Are there new rules for the DLAB or what?

the requirements you listed are correct, howver, they are only taking people with scores over 100 as that is where the need is..in that category of language.

I believe there is a waiting period before you can request to take it again. it might be 30 days it could be as long as 6 months before you can take it again.

I only scored a 93 which wouldn't even get me in today. I went on to become a 3/3 linguist in the Russian Basic Course which I did not qualify to get into. You need a 100 for a Cat 3 language.

He is correct, there are different category languages. DLI seems to be a little more strict about putting people into the courses they qualify for nowadays.

yeah, sounds like the lpo is either not informed or has an ulterior motive, like, they are only looking for folks to do the higher level languages--a possibility. your score should qualify you for lower level languages (they score them by difficulty from 1 to 4, or 5). so what happened? did he suggest another rating or what? go for what you want. don't let them talk you out of it, just go elsewhere (other service).

Depends on what language you want to learn. But if there is a shortage in a certain language, you can get a waiver. You can also retake it for a better score.

unquestionably? appears like that recruiter has meet his objectives for that pastime and desires to get human beings into different fields. The Marines parcel quotas out via areas. If DLAB could desire to easily be taken after enlistment, then no one could desire to pass in with that certain pastime seeing which you're able to pass the DLAB first. If that's the profession field she rather needs, she could tell the recruiter she'll wait till they do pick linguists. Or talk with the different branches of the provider.
