Hi, I'm interested in becoming a nurse and I already know that there are "down falls" of becoming one, but I still would love to persue a nursing career. A friend of mine told me that certain branches of the military will pay for my college (I dont have a lot of money.) So... What is being a nurse or medic in the military all about?

Keep it?
Lose it and let gays openly serve?
Lose it and don't let gays serve?

and why?

I personally say lose it and let them openly serve, I do not think that there are anything wrong with gays in the millitary, if they want to protect this country they should be able to, it is their country too.

Bush lied to the American people stating we had to invade Iraq because Sadam was hiding weapons of mass destruction yet none were found, not a single empty can was found and his lies have got thousands of American soldiers killed and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed so why then were the die hard Bush supporters so mad at my earlier post?

Can't handle the truth? Maybe forgot that Bush is a lier ort just cjose to ignore his criminal acts that killed more Americans then Bim Laden and Sadam ever could have?

terrorism is related to power.

the weak attack where they are strong militarily e.g. bombing a bus.

the strong users of terror attack far more brutally and murderous by air, bombing and massive use of weapons of mass destruction.

I contend that todays military is just that military they advised against.
At same time I see no way to move back from it and only more increases of interferences into and over civilain matters.
That it will still answer somewhat to a civilian leadership, not under but part of an equal partnership, with control over foreign and domestic matters becomes more daily evident: some examples such as torture, partnership Federalizing of local police forces, elimination of Possee Commitatus, and the laws governing the civilian population by deletion of rights under constitution to be more in line with " Uniform Code of MilitaryJustice" in their stead."
Not saying dangerous to population or sinister because a population has right to form such a new Union if they want.
That within the military and those who support how it is used today want such a society is the true division of US.
We have a dual society, the mass who react in predictable ways, and manipulators.
Realist over fantasy!

Hey they hung Sadam saying he commited war crimes against innocent civilians so why not hang Bush? Our troops have killed over 30,000 people in Iraq in less then five years so who is the war criminal? Sounds like good old boy Bush should ne hung too if you apply the same reasoning to this crime he has commited and still is commiting doesn't it?

I'm just a little curious on what people think after seeing the rallies against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the many requests for withdrawal.
Let's say if coalition forces do withdraw, wouldn't those two countries just break out into chaos? Wouldn't the situation there be worse for both Iraqis and everyone around the world since terrorism is bound to grow without the military presence.
Also, is it right for the troops to withdraw? Is it moral for us to obliterate the government there and then leave the countries in the state that it is now?

There are three question I like to know
1. How much money are we spending on the war, a week.(guessing is ok)
2. Is the war ethical or unethical.
3. What should be the next step for us.
All opinion are welcome, this is for my studies. Thanks.

Does secret military tribunlas have any credibility i.e. Gitmo. What happens with a guilty verdict. Are the defendants put in prison for life- if so where, or executed by the US military based on secret evidence and trials with a water down public transcript.

I ask this before and totally screwed up I giving it another shot. I want to join the military but I know I can not make it in the seals right now. I was wondering since I want to finish up my four year degree I still have two years left. I was wondering if I trained according to a navy seal workout (i got this from a recruiter not a tv ad) would that be a sufficent amount of time to prepare myself.
