I'm just a little curious on what people think after seeing the rallies against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the many requests for withdrawal.
Let's say if coalition forces do withdraw, wouldn't those two countries just break out into chaos? Wouldn't the situation there be worse for both Iraqis and everyone around the world since terrorism is bound to grow without the military presence.
Also, is it right for the troops to withdraw? Is it moral for us to obliterate the government there and then leave the countries in the state that it is now?

Another thing from the comments below. I sort of agreed with 911 that Iraqis and Afghanis should determine their own will, however that was before the war.
Now that we have already interfered in their foreign affairs, should we not carry on the work until a stable society is established?

The US has to learn its lessons from Vietnam, leaving is not an option. Two classic examples of occupations that have yeilded success are Germany and Japan. Both were afflicted by virulent extreme ideologies, and the whole of their nations were infected with loyalty to their cause. In both cases the US stayed put and invested billions into their shattered countries, and look at what are the two wealthiest nations behind the US. Both are peaceful nations with strong anti war governments. Its time for the general public to get behind their troops, the battles have been won now it is time to re-educate Iraqi and Afghan societies that there is a better way than evil tyrannical leaderships intent on destruction.

As a non-Muslim here is my take. All were not relatively nations to start with--not like, say, India, Iran, or Egypt. They relatively had no historical past of freedom and democracy, and the colonists-imperialists did not support a lot both. I feel the devout justification is within the "larger well," or dispensation arguments. Not that each one Muslims purchase it--however most probably such a lot Muslims do not purchase one of the crucial particular arguments inside any fundamental faith that a couple of will use. Consider the burkha. Most Muslim females quilt as much as a measure. A few grow to be strolling tents. A few might put on bikinis if they'd the proper. Each have their argument. At least a couple of from each and every institution most probably have well ones. So it's with violence. I feel such a lot Muslims are reactive--do not harm except you've got been harm--and goal the violence to the perp. Some, nevertheless, are most probably so pacifistic, you might bloodless-c-o-c-ok them, and so they might reply with "Peace be upon you." But there are others who see terrorism as facet of a divine plan had been the "common" laws do not observe --certainly that they're required to dedicate such acts. Finally, there are the ones, who're both whole, or partial, fakes who will act Muslim, however don't seem to be--no less than now not utterly. Hope that is helping. :-D

The Americans, the Europeans, and even the Israelis really don't know what it is all about, do they? During the last generation, hundreds of thousands of children have been taught all over the Muslim world in madrass schools to become martyrs for Allah in order to kill the infidels.
These youngsters not only are ready to do it, but are actually in the process of doing it. Bombs are going off all over the world killing and maiming thousands of people, not only on 9/11 in the U.S., in London, Madrid and Bali, but in Africa, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and many other places. The first signs of the Islamic tsunami are already here, but the West doesn't understand, or doesn't want to understand what is coming.
The Americans, instead of realizing that this is as bad as World War Two, or even worse, are going to pull out of Iraq, handing it over to Iran on a silver platter. Next may come the Saudis and the rest of the Gulf states.
When dirty bombs go off all over Western towns, who is going to stop the Iranians?

The following answer came from a man that served five tours (5 years and 69 days) in Vietnam when he and I were discussing the current war on terror: " ' "...We should take a few of our older, decommissioned aircraft carriers and fill them with all the innocent women and children, send them out to the middle of the ocean, launch several kiloton warheads at Iraq, and turn that part of the world into a crater; then fly some B-52s over the carriers and sink them to the bottom of the ocean." ' "
I almost agree.

Yes, leaving those countries in the state they are now would make them worse, in pretty much all aspects, than they were before we showed up.
Once we get their milltary strong enough to handle a national guard type role as well as getting their police force up and running, they should be ok.
