If war were to ever break out globally, which US cities would be the most likely target to get a nuclear bomb first. When do you think war would ever break out against us? Right now is the worst time in our nations history that the USA has ever been hated around the world so much. What do you think is going to happen and with what country do you think we would probably go to war with most likely?

If I were to suggest that we prepare for a measured withdrawal from Iraq beginning in 12 months time, would you call me a coward? Would you say I am giving up on America? Would you say I'm siding with the terrorists?

Alright, now, think about it again, but let's change one detail.

If I were to suggest that we prepare for a measured withdrawal from Iraq beginning in 12 months time, and in one hand, I am holding the severed head of Osama bin Laden by the hair, in the other hand is a large bonesaw, and his cooling body is at my feet, would you say I am a coward? Am I giving up on America? Am I siding with the terrorists?

Would you consider agreeing with me? Also, how much do you think Bush should pay me for the head? Would you chip in, or pay for a picture with the head?

I am considering either going into infantry or armor and I was wondering what the benefits of being in armor are except for the fact that you have a ride everywhere you go.
If I hear anythign regarding bush or anything anti war on this thread I will personally come to your house in a tank and demolish your residence.

Do you think that gay people shouldn't be able to be in the army or any other service for the country such as the marines, and ect.

I think that people shouldn't deny people who are actualy willing to serve for our country just cuz they're gay. Because there are tons of straight people who aren't even willing to die for our country but there are a bunch of gay people willing to yet they deny them.

What do you think? Are they right for doing that?

Why the US people is so ingrat? if the owe thir independece to the french why they hate them?? is just the madness of their arrogance that made them forget that in the battle of yorktown fought 10000 french soldiers and just 8000 lame US soldiers, is the arrogance of the yankis so big that they forget that the french defeated the royal navy in chessapeak bay avoiding cornwallis to recive support. The US said that the french are quiters but in World war I US just fought a few months instead of Russia ans in World war all we know that the desisive battles were stalingrad, leningrad, kursk and moskow. the D- day just save the west and US just took over 2 beaches (omaha and utah with almost a mess and to mant casualties) but the british 3 (juno, sword and gold) so the US is not the main fighter even in the d- day. the US even wasnt the main army in the most important battle of their independence. So the US people just are bunch of ingrats, liers and the real cowards not the french

I have completed my Bachelor's degree of Computer Information Systems and I am having a horrible time finding a job anywhere (willing to move anywhere in the US). I was able to get through college maintaining a GPA in excess of 3.7, but nobody is willing to hire me even after a year of proactive job searching. This is the main reason I am thinking of joining.

I have narrowed it down to these two because as I understand it they are the last to see combat and are the most civilian like. I am just wondering if anyone can give me information as to which branch would be best for a computer programmer or database admin and which one is most like a similar civilian job? Extra details about either are also very welcome.

I have a good friend in the Army and he is stationed in Kuwait. This is the second time they have sent him and his squad over (I think it's called a squad) . He spent a year there in 2005, and he's there for another year (coming home maybe in Sept). They may extend him another 125 days past September and he mentioned they are probably going to send him back in the middle of 2008. Can they do this? How many times does one soldier or squad have to go into the same war? Can he get out of a third tour?

Did the Pershans say "oh crap, lets just go home, this looks like too hard a job"?
Funny how people rally to tales of valor but know little of what the after math was.
What about the Greeks who fought with the Pershans?
What and the heck was the war about? All unimportant except for the warrior worship.
Why was Sparta a cult of death and not life?
Did make a damn good flick though!
A more realistic one on modern times is a flick caled "None but The Spartans."
Not very popular flick but parts so very true.

Terrorism is just not working for me. I'm sorry but, I am not scared of any kind of islamic jihad doomsday scenario. I mean, c'mon Americans. There are a lot of things that kill us that we don't wet the bed over.

Like car wrecks. You have a way better chance of being a suicide bomber yourself, talking on your cell phone in your big truck. I am scared of you. What's the difference? You run your "avaitor" into me and I die.

How about being 75 pounds overweight? you know that hidden in your body's infrastructure unknown cells are lurking in your bloodstream, waiting to detach and strangle you from the inside of your brain?

Are you afraid of cigarettes? Are cigarettes a national security threat? More people die of cigarettes every day than were killed in the WTC massacre.

What terrorizes you?

Can you change your MOS, unit and ship date after you sign your contract at MEPS.

Also, can an officer who has accepted commission go back to being enlisted, for the purposes of getting an MOS only enlisted can have (eg CID Special Agent).

Also, can you have more than one MOS, eg be in one MOS and cross-train in another and do both work.

Thanks

a story i missed but a young man asked me what the army officer's name was because i am a veteran and he thought i would know.

ed bradley, a few years ago, the story had something to do with the officer praying with his men before their miraculous
survival in a plane crash or something similar. the officer evidently told the story in his church and was called on the carpet by the feds because of the church and state issue. i need to know how to access information on that story, with all the details in the late, great ed bradley's 60 minutes broadcast about the officer and the entire story. please. thanks in advance.
