WORLD WAR I (1914-1918): Old enough to remember instances of it would be someone who is around 93-95 years old ... and most probably either of North American or European descent. There's a couple of folks I know of personally who remember what it was like during the 'roaring twenties' - including my own grandfather - but nobody I know who actually remembers details of WWI.

WORLD WAR II (1939-1945): On the other hand, this war is fairly recent ... anyone who is in their mid-seventies will have a good memory of the war, especially if they were North American or European. Those in their late sixties (and of Japanese descent) will absolutely remember the END of the war in the Pacific ...

By the way ... my grandfather actually fought in WWII.

My father served in WW2. He actually landed on the beaches of Normandy (twice, his landing boat got pushed back into the water and sunk the first time) during D-Day. He's 82.

Someone born just before WW1, and old enough to remember at least parts of it, would be in their 90s.

My Step dad is still alive and he was a pilot in WWII, my mom remembers it too. It was only 67 years ago, so I would think there are quite a few that remember it.
