I heard a general was fired from his position due to the poor condition Walter Reed Military hospital is in? Does the the general public know this is due to the lack of funding from Congress, and refusal to replace outdated buildings and not the Hospital Commander's fault? Does the public know Walter Reed is not the only military hospital that is in bad shape and is outdated? Does the public even care?

This is to all those who have served in the Military or any type of Military Branch of any kind.

I just wanted to let you know you are doing a good job with everything you are currently doing and keep up with the good work you are now doing. If you are currently retired, you did a good job with everything you had done in the past wars such as WW2 or any other kind of war. I know you did your best to serve this country from the enemy especially with the terrorism in out there, but you are trying to prove that the U.S. shall never give up it's freedom and we shall not give up to the terrorist at any time.
Keep up with the good work, even if you are in active duty or are retired.

Note: You may leave a note below to those who are currenly in Iraq or those who are active or retired below. That is your choice, but please do not affend these soldiers, otherwise you will get a thumbs down from me.

I think that the British Army shouldn't be out there with the Americans because the friendly fire from the Americans is more frightening than anything else. I had to face an American bullet a few times.

I thought he was stupid and they were smart?
Top House Democrats retreated Monday from an attempt to limit President Bush's authority for taking military action against Iran as the leadership concentrated on a looming confrontation with the White House over the Iraq war.
Officials said Speaker Nancy Pelosi (news, bio, voting record) and other members of the leadership had decided to strip from a major military spending bill a requirement for Bush to gain approval from Congress before moving against Iran.
Conservative Democrats as well as lawmakers concerned about the possible impact on Israel had argued for the change in strategy.

My husband is seriously thinking about joining the Navy. We have a 6 month old daughter as well. I was wondering what life is like on the base for families when their loved ones are "out to sea." From what I understand I won't be able to see him very often. Are the benefits for family good? Are the houses on base nice? Please tell me as much as you can about your experiences on base, and if the life as a Navy wife is as good as they try to make it sound. Thanks in advance for answers.

I am a national guard 11b who has been in a 31b (mp) slot for over two years waiting for MP school, I have been conducting MP duties and training and I would think after two years of performing MP duties I would be OJT as a 31b but noone in my unit can tell me how that works or can tell me exactly when i am supposed to go to school, If any one knows the policy or can link me to where I can find the policy that would be great thank you.

my husband is retired military and he and his ex-wife are in a child support/ex-spousal support court battle. we are wondering, if he loses, can she have his retired military benefits garnished every month to get her support? (the back support).
also, if this can be done, does anyone know if she is entitled to a specific percentage? or can they garnish the total amount at 1 time?
thanks!
