ERUDITE what is it you have against the military? I see all your post and questions and I want to know what do you have against Soldiers/Marines/Sailors and Airmen? We are trying to defend our country honorably. I can understand if you don't agree with the politicians but the troops who are obeying their orders? I saw somewhere you said you were in Vietnam, what unit may I ask? My father was in Nam' he was with the 173rd Airborne(separated) aka The Herd, he was shot. The Army took care of him and he retired as a 1st SGT
You say military boo who all the time, I'm on post and been deployed to Iraq twice and I'm yet to see what you are talking about. If a troop crys its because a close "Battle" of his passed, its a human emotion, but I'm sure that same soldier who cried, performed all his task with excellence in a military manner.

For those of us that have served in the military, we all know that there are people that make complaints about what they are doing, how they are doing it, where they are doing it, so on and so forth.
However this does not make up the majority of the troops and it by no means affects the job that they are doing. We become very close to the other soldiers we are serving with and have no desire to get hurt or killed or have our friends get hurt or killed.
The other thing is that the complaints made are retained within the unit 99.9% of the time, so you would never hear about them.
If you are referring to people complaining about stop-loss and being sent to Iraq, if you look more closely at the people making the complaints you will realize that it is the spouses and families of the soldiers that want their soldier home safely and not the soldier making the complaint.
If you are referring to the politicians, most of them never served in an actual combat situation and have no idea what is going on in the real world of the military as far as what the troops think and feel.
I would ask that you be a little more respectful of the troops that are serving for your benefit, regardless of where they are serving and make sure you are placing the blame where it needs to be placed, instead of on the troops themselves.

It is you and the entire Liberal Left that is whining and boo hooing. Our Military is there doing what they agreed to do and aren't bitching about it one bit,and doing one helluva a good job.
I would suggest you get off your fat duff, enlist and go see yourself what Pride is.
Ive seen where you claim to be a Viet Vet......If you are, you have shamed everyone who has ever served proudly. We fought a crummy war, due to exactly what you are doing..you should know better, if you are a vet....

Who's crying. I've been in for 18+ yrs and I have loved every minute of it. It's the general public that's doing all the crying. Bush did blah blah blah. Why are we fighting over in blah blah blah? I like how they use "we" but they are not the ones over here. They have all these opinions of if "we" should be over here or not but have never served a day in the military. It was our choice to join not yours if WE wanted your opinions about what WE do WE would beat them out of you.

You must be looking at something different than I am. I have only heard two or three military persons complaining out of hundred's of thounsends. Try enlisting yourself,,perhaps you can get a better feel of what it's like.

They are fighting a war very similar to Vietnam!! Don't you complain when you are somewhere you don't want to be over and over again? Many are are being involuntarily extended like I was back in 1991. Better to join than be drafted...

Personally I don't know any that are but I'm sure there are some that are doing that. But I'd say that the vast majority understood what they were signing up for and do their job without boohooing.

Because they just wanted to get a good college education and didn't think they'd be sent somewhere where their asses would get shot at everyday.
