Like we are supposed to believe that you served in Iraq?
Which MSR went to your FOB? Any Iraq vet would be able to answer this question.

We should have nuked Iraq back into the Dark Ages and wiped out all technology. No electricity, no running water, no transportation without legs or wooden wheels. Fifteen of the 9/11 killers were Saudis and so we should have hit them too. For good measure add Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Iran, and Pakistan to the list. To keep the major powers happy we give Iran to the Russians, Afghanistan to China, Iraq to Turkey, and the others to the Brits, Italians, and Spanish. We give Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen to the French and tell them that we nuked them and actually didn't. That would be funny. The French would then have three more countries to surrender to.

You served in Iraq ? Then YOU of all people should know-- the U S military men and women are fighting in Iraq for what THEY see as THEIR country ---- the USA---- and the Constitution and all of the things that THAT entails !! And, for the most part -- have absolutely no control over the WHY that we are there--- let alone the policies and procedures in the works OF the thing !! Of this one thing you can be almost perfectly assured !!
There are few who are as adament about this being an ill conceived and wrongfully executed misadventure than me !!
BUT-- I can also assure you that being of that mind and position does not cause me to be blind to the position and reasonings within the mindset and heartfelt efforts of our brave men and women in uniform caught up in this thing !!
And, I will assure you of another item that you can take or leave at will here---- Profiteering from what is going on within Iraq is far wider spread and covers far deeper territory than any "oil" that may be in the works there --- a "thing" about oil there is entirely too obvious to any who would be watching and so THAT entity has gone (for the most part) untouched--- BUT there are BILLIONS being made there !!! And, as we've seen ---Billions that are literally disappearing----Haliburton alone has not even been called to task over the billions it has overcharged for services let alone the billions that it has convieniently "lost" (how do you "lose" five billion dollars ?)----
But, whatever THESE deals are and whoever it is doing them IS NOT THE FAULT OR THE PURPOSE OF WHAT THE MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM ARE DOING !!!!!

this is all so boring the usual bunch of Anti war protesters blame it on the oil blame it on Bush and Blair get real its not just about the oil this is the battle field against the terrorists or would you rather it fought out on your street.
Oh and by the way when the oil does run out you lot of limp wristed socialists will be the first demanding that the government of the day do somthing so you can keep driving to your loafing council or cushy NHS job.
Thoes of us in the real world understand you can't make war without breaking a few eggs and urge our governments to find new fuels to power the things we need.

I don't believe you served in Iraq.
But I agree with you the invasion was a very bad idea, poorly planned, and badly executed (at the level of Rumsfield that is, not the soldiers or their commanders)
Don't blame servicemen for doing their jobs - they need your support. It was a political decision, ratified in Congress and teh Senate (and in the UK by Parliament) - so you should talk to your congressman if you want to know why Congress voted for it!
I agree that Halliburton and other large US companies have made vast profits, but that wasn't the reason for invading, and neither was WMD. It was about oil, and Saddam Hussein...
Hope this helps - it's just my 3 cents!

Are you glad to here halliburton has moved their headquarters to dubai. They made billions of dollars from iraq / afghanistan. Dont you think the soldiers and america are owed something for getting violated from a piece of sht company?. Why do they take all the tax money and run? Now they are getting around not paying taxes on the future money they make. How does it make you feel? Please answer with additional details.

Enough with the damn president questions. I'd much rather hear some daunting and repetitive debates over the best brand of vacuum cleaners before I want to hear yet another remark about President Bush.
I do have my standpoint on whether I support him or not, but I will not say just to avoid more anti-Bush and anti-war drama.
Good riddance!
