We all know that all the stores have cameras so people don't steal. A lot of times when I go to the store, I find an open box of food, half of the food is gone because someone ate it. Or I see a lot of damaged items that someone wrecked.
How come these people don't get in trouble?

I was recently arrested for possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute. Since it was a minute amount, they just took it away, booked me and I spent one night in holding. At my hearing, I was simply given a warning and had the charges dropped.

Now, does this mean that when applying for jobs when they ask me have i ever been arrested before can I say "no". I'm asking because technically I do not have a criminal record as the incident "on paper" never happened.

I handed in my completed background packet a few days ago, and I have just remembered a job I had when I was 16. The job was a 1 day temporary position which actually was about 15 years ago. I wasn't fired or let go it was just a temp job. I forwarded the informaton to my background investigator. Will this cause a problem in the eyes of the department I am trying to get employeed by?

Some people down the street were just busted the other day for growing over 200 plants in their garage. I do not think they have any prior convictions. We live in CA. I am wondering what the possible sentence could be. She was arrested and let go on $10,000 bail. There were 2 men who were busted in a truck with 30 garbage bags full of marijuana just before the police came to the house. The men were released- which seems odd to us. Here is part of the article that was written:

Officers found that the garage had been converted into a grow room, complete with lights and hydroponics, and discovered 135 small plants, 52 mature plants and 49 plants that had been harvested and hung up to dry. He said that police estimate the street value at about $26,000.

Police found that the electricity to the house came directly from power lines at the street, and bypassed the electric meter on the house.

She was arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation.

He is huge. Probably 6'5" and 335 lbs. He is outside the doughnut shop, beaten to a pulp. He has all these funny wires sticking out of him, and his clothing is saturated with this stuff that has an acrid smell. He is bruised and bloody all over and is whimpering and crying that he wants to die. I was going to call 911, but these cops outside the doughnut shop told me that everything was fine the way it was and to go on about my business. I would put him in my car, but I am only 5'9" and weight 130, and this guy looks like a beached whale. What should I do?

Couple of month of ago I was give two tickets, one for urinating in public and the 2nd one for a open container. I pleaded not guilty because these were untrue violations. The charges were dismissed with a condition. The condition was that I stay out of trouble for a few month. Meaning that after 01/18/2008 they are satisfy with the case being dismiss providing I don't get in trouble by that date. The judge made this judgment on these two minor infraction(tickets)

Now, today I was filling out a job application. One question on the application ask "do you have any criminal cases pending?". Next to that question there is two choices yes or no. I checked no, I don't have anything with respect to court appearances for any type of criminal infraction.

It turned out according to this potential employer that I have something pending because of the condition on my judgment. My question is how can something be pending if there was a judgment made?

Is it true its legal to break into a house if you are in danger of dying in a blizzard? Is it legal to steal a car if you have to escape a forest fire? Can you steal food from a store in order to survive a flood? Whats the general law on your rights during a life and death emergency?

I had a person move into the neighborhood that built a house beside mine. Every day and night they have about 10 cars out on both sides of the street which isnt that wide. They also park in front of my house where I am having a problem getting out. Is there something or some law about how many cars can park to one house? Also, when there is alot of snow they still park on the street which makes it more difficult. What can I do in this situation. I have asked the visitors to move because I can't get out and they swear and yell at me.

Just read this story and it is appaling. A woman working as a civilian contractor in Iraq was gang raped by other civilian contractors so badly she is still undregoing reconstructive surgery. The DOJ is doing absolutely nothing so she had to take her appeals to Congress via her Republican representative who is appalled at the inaction of the DOJ as anyperson with a moral sense of outrage would be.
It seems that this government is not going to take any action or recognize the need for action agiasnt civilian contractors unless they are forced to.
We ahve a lawless, government thatg has no right or business to be in control of this country. they are crimminals of the worst sort - abusing the trust of the American people for their own purposes. I say jail to the lot of them and let's start over again.
I'm furious!

Here's the story - read it for yourself.

one of the neighbours of the apartment has been opening my mails, sometimes keeping the mails and closely monitoring my activities. I am suspicious of someone but not sure. The landlord is not doing that, as he is a well wisher of mine. what should i do? how should i stop this activity? i cannot charge anyone withour proof.

NB: I have enough evidences to prove my allegations. My job related mails are the target, not bank statements, even my paystab was stolen last week. I am from New York City.
