Just read this story and it is appaling. A woman working as a civilian contractor in Iraq was gang raped by other civilian contractors so badly she is still undregoing reconstructive surgery. The DOJ is doing absolutely nothing so she had to take her appeals to Congress via her Republican representative who is appalled at the inaction of the DOJ as anyperson with a moral sense of outrage would be.
It seems that this government is not going to take any action or recognize the need for action agiasnt civilian contractors unless they are forced to.
We ahve a lawless, government thatg has no right or business to be in control of this country. they are crimminals of the worst sort - abusing the trust of the American people for their own purposes. I say jail to the lot of them and let's start over again.
I'm furious!

Here's the story - read it for yourself.

Outside jursisdiction? That's how this administation set it up so that they are responsible to no one. And this adminstration has committed and excused it self of more crimes than the last twenty administrations combined.
They are criminals - traitors - pigs who are bankrupting our Constitution, treasury and our honor.

The US has an agreement with the Iraqi government that Iraq can not prosecute US contractors or military personnel. The idea being that the military has its own court system and Iraqi law is substantially different than US law. Unfortunately in order for a crime to be prosecuted by the DOJ it has to have occurred in the US or its territories. It's the reason for the black water scandal as well. I dont think it's necessarily that they wont, but more that they cant do anything. it's a loop hole that should have been ficed when the agreement was made. be mad at congress, not the DOJ.

might be a question of jurisdiction. might be a question of evidence. or of previous history.
as for governmetal actions, IMO they have proven many times that they will not tolerate law breaking by anyone, anywhere.
