University of Phoenix on line has regular classes and it is connected to a regular college my cousin just graduated from there. You can check at your local law enforcement agency to see what is accepted, but really all you have to have is a high school degree to apply for police academy. But I would still check if you are trying to specialize.

There are many regular colleges that offer "Distance Ed" programs where you can take classes online or on video. These schools are often cheaper than anything like Univ. of Phoenix and also have legitimate accrediation (unlike Univ. of P.)
Where are you located?

Depends- are going after a certificate, diploma, or a degree? Check the school program out and it should tell you how (approx) long it will take.
