i am not sure, but have you ever seen any midget cops? i have never seen any, only in movies, Me Myself and Irene, i think that is wrong.

1. HEIGHT AND WEIGHT
The following table of height and weight is to be adhered to in all instances except where a particularly unusual situation is found and is documented by a special report of the examining physician.
Local Commissions may adopt the following height and weight schedule in its entirely and may exercise the option of permitting no exceptions under any circumstances, or:

No. Your size shouldn't prevent you from becoming a police officer. There are police officers that are 5'2" and shorter. As an officer, being well trained, having good communication skills, knowing your limitations, and knowing when and how to use your equipment can be much more important than your size and strength. Your size won't prevent you from becoming a police officer, but you should become as physically fit as you can.

There is no height requirements. You just have to pass the police academy. In the academy, you go through a lot of senarios. A lot of physical senarios. You also have to complete physical assesment, IE: lift and drag a 150 lb dummy...etc. If you can shoot, tolerate getting sprayed with OC, and getting tasered, YOU ARE READY to kick some butt as the po po.
Height is actually an advantage: like in riots were you have to pull someone out...no one sees you...when u enter a building and you are the 1st one in...no one knows you are there and you can clear it better.

there might be some State Patrol agencies that still have a height requirement but alot of Agencies have taken away the height requirement

there is no minimum heigth requirement but there are specific training drills you must be able to complete in a matter of time to be certified....google police academies that you are considering going to to make your decision

THERE USE TO BE BUT THAT WAS DISCRIMINATORY.
DURING VIETNAM WE HAD TUNNEL RATS THAT WERE UNDER 5'.
SO GO FOR IT. MY SERGEANT WAS 5' AND HE WAS AN EX MARINE ALSO.
I THINK THE ONLY ONES STILL HAVING A HEIGHT REQUIREMENT WERE THE STATE TROOPERS AND 6' NOW 5'10??
ALWAYS SAID NITRO COMES IN A SMALL CONTAINER.
