I read recently that, in some states on the US, if you reach your maximum points limit on your licence then you are banned from driving – as in the UK.

HOWEVER, they have applied some common sense. You are allowed a curfew or window where you can drive to work and back only. This means that you do not loose your job, your house and possibly not be ruined for life simply because some jobs-worth copper has hidden in a lay-by attempting to catch you speeding.

Now why can’t we do something sensible like this?

The implication of loosing your drivers licence in the UK can be devastating. I understand that it is the law not to speed – but it is also illegal to burgle someone else’s property. The severity of punishment for burglary (a far more premeditated and deliberate act of criminality) does not compare with a mere indiscretion of being caught driving too fast.

And lets face it – the police find it far easier to catch you speeding than committing real crimes - but a ban?

A friend of mine has just been given the sack, the employers said they never put her name on the books because they had just taken over the business and the deeds were in the hands of the lawyers.
I wanted to know if she can report her employers to the Tax office.
She is so distraught she wanted to kill herself as she gave up college to work. what can she do?

I never wanted to be on earth at all. CanI hold my mom liable for bringing me into this world without my SOLE consent?

I think it was wrong of her and if my dad was alive I would want to sue him too. Can I sue him beyond the grave? Sue his soul? or even sue him in absentia?

How much can I sue my mom for?

Also would it hurt the lawsuit since im 43 and still live home with her? Im also afraid she will cut my allowance if I take her to court.

See?? my hands and legs are tied

I was given a speeding ticket and the officer in the physical description part of the ticket didn't list the weight on my license nor did he ask me how much I weigh. He put in a weight which was 35 pounds more than the weight on my license. Is that legal? I find it offensive.

May I ask why do police officers answer about other police who rapes, sexual harasses women saying that the woman were really asking for it. Same with when a police abuses his wife, I've notice some police here again, blame the woman from saying she was asking for it and will return within hours, jim h treats sexual harassment and abuse of women by police as a causal matter, why the fuss. Do all police have this attitude-
jim h

if she didn't mind?
WHY NOT?

Is this sound reasoning from anyone professing to police officer that it is all the womans fault???????????

My department will not allow the carrying of a single action 1911 as a primary duty weapon. They say the whole "locked and ****** method of carry is unsafe, therfore not permitted by most police depts nationwide. With how long the 1911 has been in use by military, police, and civilians, I am surprised some would consider the guns unsafe. Why would so many folks carry the damn things if there were so many accidents with them. My father is a veteran, and swore by his 1911 during the war. My dept has no problem with the glocks and berettas, and I guess I see why, but I love the classic 45 as a duty weapon. Anyone know of a situation where carrying a 1911 locked and ****** was unsafe?

Im thinking about buying a radar detector and i dont have enough for a laser detection setting (not like they do much anyway considering lasers detect in like 2 seconds), but i was wondering how often police use laser vs radar? Is it even worth it to consider buying a radar detector? I have 5 points (1 ticket) and i cant afford another ticket.
