my friend was stopped by a cop who misread her registration sticker to be 06 when it was actually '07.When he came up to her he asked to see her registration and license without telling her why he stopped her in the first place.so she said she wanted to know why she was being stopped and the cop said that he thought her sticker was for '06.so my friend says that then if that was the case then she hadn't done anything wrong and didn't see the need for giving her license and stood her ground on it.I would have done the same it was his mistake all he had to do was apologise for stopping her for no reason.Unfortunately becoz my friend refused to give him the what he asked for.He called 4 units on her for refusing to give her license and he took her to jail 8pm and released her 12pm that night. My qstn is was this called for and what can she do about it.Isn't the officer supposed to tell you why he stopped you before getting anything from you?anybody who knows how these things work answer

My friend was recently jumped and she wants a can of it. Can you legally hold a can of mace under 18 years old?

Are there any sites where you can get a can for cheap? My cousin has a mini can of mace on her set of keys. Where can you get one of those? They're cool.

I see this in movies. I don't know if it is true. I would dare to say that an officer of the law would not actually taste the drug to verify it is actually an illicit drug, i.e. cocaine. I believe there would have to be lab tests. Otherwise the officer would pop positive on a drug test.

I am currently attending a certain university in Pennsylvania. The university does not have many parking areas. I had a friend come to the university, and park outside my residence hall. I then looked on the university website for the regulations regarding visitor parking, and posted online (as part of a campus map) was a parking permit. So, I printed it out and hung it in the windshield of my friend's van. However, we soon received a phone call from the police saying that they were at the van and because it is a "fake" permit, we were being charged with Theft of Services, a criminal charge. My question is, I did not technically forge any permits, and honestly thought the permit printed out would be enough to let us park there for an hour or two (at which point we were going to move it), so can I be charged with Theft of Services instead of just a simple parking ticket?

My stepdaughter is going to be taking the test to become a cadet. If she passes, she will then begin undergoing background checks, etc. While she has no criminal record, she did get behind on some student loans and medical bills during a period of unemployment. As a result, her credit score isn't so good. Will this interfere with her being able to become a police officer? She is an honest person with a good character, and I would hate to see her career dreams squashed by some past financial mistakes.
