Unfortunately, yes. The law enforcement agencies do not track down all criminals. The folks who committed a crime and used a bail bondsman to get of of jail then did not show up for thier court date would, (unless the crime is a seroius felony) wound not be on the priority foe law enforcement to hunt down. However, the bondsman wants his money and therefore, if he does not do it himself, will hire a bounty hunter to get the job done so he can recover his money.
They actually give classes for potential bounty hunters.

Anywhere someone can receive a reward of any kind for turning in a criminal, there will always be bounty hunters. The US still offers rewards for come criminals and returned bail bonds when the person appears in court.

yes "bail enforcement agents" or fugutive recorcey agents" are bounty hunters most are hired out by bailbondsmen to go after a "skip" someone who doe snot showup for court dates the cout\rth usualy give the bondsman 90 days to recover the person or they loose the money they paid for his bail most bonds men get between 10 tp15% of the total bail

No that show Dog the Bounty Hunter is all scripted, they hire dirtbags to go out and get warrants for their arrest and then hunt them down in a simulated method..

Yes, they are everywhere, and mainly in large cities where they can get more money from the skipped (jumped) bails. It is actually a good money making job, but very dangerous.

Of course they do. They have both legal and illegal kinds. The legal being a bail bondsman and the police in some ways and the illegal ones are the hit men which actually kill them.
