Look i met this guy online. He claimed to be from UK and working for a UK jewerly company. Along the way he said he had to go to nigeria to be a manager for the comapny he works for in UK in lagos, nigeria. So while there he said if i want to join him i have to help him pay his workers and so on. The thing is before i met this guy i was scammed on a 491 dead man scam or 12Kusa dollar. Not all at once but bit by-bit. The thing is this guy in nigeira is telling me that if i dont send him any money he will call my dad at work he go his number and said he will tell him that i stole the 6k from my parents(the rest7K where borrowed from friends and some of my money) he will call and tell him and forward all the e-mails i sent him. So he is blackmaling me and making me send him the money like 3-400 at a time and i cant take it anymore and i dont want my father to find out because if he does our life will be ruined because my parents are about to divorce. PLEASE if u are a detective get to me.1

I don't know how to spell it right..
Is it statutory rape if a 18 year old goes out with a 14 year old? No sex, just dating?
What about a 19 year old and a 14 year old?

A cop arrested me in california without a warrant and brought me in for questioning regarding an investigation, I was held for over 2 days and after that they told me that I didn't have to see the judge because there was no case against me.
The detective in charge refused to give me back my stuff that was taken from me when I got arrested. I had a couple of thousand dollars on me and on top of my money he also took my watch, my cellphone, my credit cards and a bunch of stuff that I had in my car like my check book and my mail.

It has been a few months and no matter what I do he won't give me my stuff back, he hasn't even given my belongings to evidence locker. I checked my cellphone and found out he has been using it for his perosnal use, he even changed my password and info. Recently I found out that cops use any excuse to hold on to people's belongings because when the items get auctioned they get 10% also 10% of the cash he took from me
I have filed complaints but no-one cares

i went and had my pre sentencing report done, in it, the probation officer recommended that i just get a fine and have to pay restitution. my lawyer said she was going to suggest i go on probabtion instead of the fine due to the fact that i am 7 months pregnant and have had so many complications that i no longer have a job. (am pretty much on bed rest). do you think that i will probably get either the fine or probation??? is it likely i will go to jail?! what are the odds of him going against the recommendation?

have always been polite to the judge, using yes sir, no sir, yes your honor, ect. dress nice, and have no prior record.

My friend was rape.d and her b/f and I have talked with her about turning the two guys in. She says that she won't do anything b/c she gave up fighting back when she knew it was hopeless and in the eyes of the law, that makes it legal.
Is she right??
The second reason why not is b/c the two guys were old friends of hers. She tried to fight back but ended up with a broken wrist and broken ribs.

Last year I was arrested for DWI and speeding, despite blowing .06 (the limit is .08) I was charged with DWI. When I went to court the charge was reduced to DWAI driving while impaired, a traffic violation. My question is will it show up on a criminal records check as a DWI arrest even though I was not convicted of this. By the way this occured in New York state. Thanks for any and all help. And, yes I did learn my lesson.

I am 23 years old and currently employed as a journalist in the Chicagoland area, with a Bachelor's in journalism. I've been in the industry less than a year and though I enjoy the work, I'm already extremely frustrated. The pay is terrible (less than 25k a year as a full-time employee at a large paper) and industry is in a steady state of decline.
I've been thinking about trying out for the Chicago police. As such, I suppose my questions are pretty general-- Are you happy with your career? Are they even accepting new officers? How long would the training process take and what is it like? Do you have to pay for your training yourself? Any advice if I decide to try out? Anything else important I didn't ask?

I have no criminal record, other than traffic offenses and a few misdemeanors when I was a juvenile. I already looked into the physical test and can easily pass it.

my daughter was sexually assualted in our home by a football player, and I filed charges. I was told by the schools asst. principle I could not file or even talk about the incident at the school.so I went to the police dept. the officer that took the report told me a detective would be in touch. they never called me to set up an interview with us, but he abd another male detective, along with another male police officer from the city where the school is got my daughter out of class, put her in a room with all of them and interrogated her until she recanted and said it didn't ever happen. her grades have dropped, she dropped gymnastics where she has been shunned by her teacher and classmates. is there anything i can do about the actions of the school or police dept.? i feel as if she has been raped. the boy that tried to rape her in our home has been boasting about the ordeal and the counselor and asst. principle both who are females told both of us not to even speak of the incident .

I know someone who is in prison. Her sentence end date is in the year 2010. She recently went to a parole hearing. I checked the status of that hearing on my state's website, on the felony search page. The results of the hearing says, "Parole". Under the defintion, they say it means, "Supervision after incarceration". Does this mean she's getting out now on Parole or that she will be on Parole, after she gets out? She's done a LOT (theft mainly) & I just don't see how she could be sentenced to service time till 2010, but only spend about 6 months & get out on parole. I'm hearing mixed things. Some peope say they think it means she's getting out now, some people feel it just means she'll be put on parole WHEN she gets out, which could be in 2010 or in 1/2 that time for good behavior, but not now. If you know about this, first hand, please tell me what it probably means. (I live in TN, if that helps) Thank you!
