A kid, well put on your ski mask. And catch him out by him self and beat the crap out of him. Dont speak just whip his little tail.

Do it a few times, he will get the message.

If you are aware that such an act is possible, you can use a video camera to record your car and that video evidence is normally admissable in court. Vandalism is not that great a crime unfortunately, so he will not be in jail long, perhaps not at all, but sentenced to serve community service.

He can be charged with criminal damage.
and will be given the appropriate sentence for that
,
Should he be foolish enough to do it again, as revenge for you reporting him ,

then he will be charged for repeated criminal damage with menaces and contempt of court .

I cant say there is any guarantee ,that he will be sorted once and for all ,

But unless he is reported now ,
he will no doubt,
become worse, not better .

I wish you luck!

what a schmuck!

Depends on prior convictions and how strict or lenient the judge it. He may just get community service and have to pay for the damages.

depends on if he is caught or not. I suggest either buying touch-up paint or driving a beater.
