Larry, you might be a loser if you attack me.. you see I attacked you with only a spit..which is similar to a verbal assault...but you touch me that is a physical assault. So probably you would pay more price.

A girl spit in my face and I punched her out for it. She got arrested for battery, and I got in no trouble whatsoever. (I'm not condoning hitting for any reason, it was years ago and I have grown up since then.)

Spitting on someone is considered assault. You have now transfered bodily fluids to another person, and that person has no way of knowing if you carry AIDS or HIV or Hepatitis. If you do and it gets in their mouth or eye, it can enter their body, and infect them. If you know you have somethinglike this, and you spit on someone, you could face harsher charges and rightly so

You could be. It can be construed as assault. It does, of course, depend on where you live. The penalty also varies from area to area. With AIDS and such that might be a very serious charge.

In some states it is an offense to do that. Even by verbally assaulting someone is an offense. And why would you want to do that anyway? It won't make you any friends.
