I don't know that there is a limit on how long it can be suspended if you never take care of the reason.
Honestly, it is pretty easy to keep your license in good order if you follow the rules of the road. Once you do get it back, work on being a rule follower, it really is cheaper in the long run.

in the province of ontario in canada it is life if you offend a fourth time with no chance of appeal until after the 10th year of suspension DUI

if you kill someone and are impaired it may be for life though
