I heard its a law and ive heard its a myth and Ive tried to look it up butt i'm not sure where to even look. If an officer is working in plain cloths or under cover, by law, does he have to reveile his true identity as law inforcment if the person he is investigating asks him if is a police officer or can he deny it??

my husband caught a case back in 2000 and had timed served around march. i was told that it will only stay on his record for 5 years. we arent able to get an apartment with his name on the lease. someone else told me they never go away. i know it will never leave his record but how long does it take to where apartments or jobs cant look it up?

i was driving yesterday and putting on my make up while talking to my ex.bf and soon to be father of my child we were arguing and i was pulled over for going 65 in a 35 mile zone i was late to my doctors appointment and have been really stressed. i got into a fight to the police officer and smacked him with my purse not hard though and started screaming and crying threw a fit basically. does pregnancy help me out in court i have to go next week and i am nervous? i now have a speeding ticket, reckless driving fine, and assault on a police officer. do you think i can get some off this lowered or dropped? how do i get in tough with the police officer i hit with my purse and apologize?

My good honor student (14yrs.)has got mixed up w/wrong people and committed aggravated burglary (2counts). He is in a mental facility now for 30 days. If the judge won't send him to juvenile det. when he comes for court, what are some other places I can send him? I don't think I'll feel safe with him in my home in 30 days (I have 2 babies in the house, where this teen had 2 loaded guns! We live in West Tennesse. Anyone know of some options for us? Also, he has periodic depression and ADHD, so it needs to be a place he can get mental therapy.

With Andrea Yates getting away with murdering her 5 kids, I ask if there is truly any justice in our country. With a legal system that has so much red tape, you could choke a horse, for criminals to get away with anything., I think it's time we take the current system and replace it with something that works. The current system is obviously not working. With this track record, Osama Bin Laden will plead insanity and get away with it. Today is a day day for justice....

2 years ago I stole something from an auto parts store. There was an undercover cop there who caught me. He walked me back inside the store and worked something out with the manager. I would pay for the merchandise (substantial increase) and they made a copy of my Drivers Liscense and I signed a statements saying If I were to return I would be arrested. Is there a way I could clear my name so that I could re-enter this store? This happened more then 2 years ago.

Theres that rumor that cops have to meet a certain quota for tickets written every month so when it gets close to the end of the month your more likely to get pulled over. is that true or is it just a rumor ? any cops out there willing to answer?

I got a speeding ticket the other day, for going 90 in a 55. Heh, yea... would sound extreme normally cept the average traffic flow is 80. I was speeding though.. just the fact that the posted limit is so damn low for a freaking interstate.

So, I got pulled over by a state trooper (tennessee). First speeding ticket I've ever gotten.

I called the number on the back of the ticket today to find out the price of the ticket, but the lady said the system isn't updated for like 2 weeks. WTF. By that time I will have to pay the stupid thing, and I don't even know how much it's supposed to be.

So do any of you know of a way to figure out the price of the ticket .. like, it goes by how many mph over the limit you were going I assume. Don't know if it's more because of it being a state trooper either......
