If a person suffered from obsessive complusive disorder and they had to call a police information desk 12 times in a row from their home phone, then the next day do the same thing 12 times in a row each time asking a real legit question, also they are asking this question 12 times in a row to the same phone operator. Do you think this would be considered phone harrassment and would the person who called the police station 24 times in 2 days be arrested?

She's a psychologist. She believes and has stated that sex offenders are unredeemable ... that they will repeat the crime. The person they are trying to prosecute is a repeat offender, and that's already been revealed to potential jurors.

The judge has stated he will even work around her schedule to have her on the jury.

She's not making anything up to get out of it, but it's amazing they would want her. I'm confused. Based on what I would think this makes no sense.

The cop said he watched me during a 1/4 mile distance (he was on a motorcycle). It was during rush hour traffic going N. on Ventura Blvd. Does that seem logical? I don't think I was too close and want to fight it. Any suggestions?

My 14yr. old has recently broken in a home and stole loaded pistols, liquor, pills, jewelry. This kid has NEVER caused any trouble at home or school, he's on honor roll, honor society, and is polite, respectful.....And he says he did this alone, and won't give a reason as to why he did it, or what he was gonna do with the guns. Police say sounds like he got mixed up w/a gang. Anyone have any insight into this????

In particular, here in New York, driving while talking on the cell phone is illegal; and in my opinion it's a good law, since statistics show that hand held cellphones cause accidents. But you never see the law enforced. In fact you will often see the police driving while chatting?

I can understand not agreeing with a law, but should we only obey the laws we agree with?

And if so, how? A man was recently released from prison after serving 15 years for a crime that DNA evidence showed he could not possibly have committed. This could happen to any of us. How can these mistakes be avoided? How can the system be reformed to prevent this from happening? And how can society possibly compensate innocent people for wrongful convictions?

My husband was riding a small trail bike down the road when this guy came out of the bushes and hit him across the hand with an ax handle. My huband suffered a serious injury to his knuckle. They were shattered and required surgery. This random act of violence cost my husband his livlihood. The guy admitted to doing this he was not drunk he is a 70 yr old retired carpenter. he said he was tired of motorcycles atv etc going up and down this street which is a public street. 5 days later he punched another guy no serious injuries to this guy but he was again charged with simple assault. I don't understand why he is not charged with a felony for my husbands injuries. we may lose our house due to this jerk.
