Okay i got my license suspended for 30 days for SPEEDING 1-14 MPH OVER SPEED LIMIT by the Maine Judicial Branch Violations Bureau. The notice doesn't say when i did this. I got a ticket for speeding like a little over a month ago but i paid that off, so why would i get my license suspended for speeding?

If the state law makers asked you to make a law, of your choice, starting tomorrow, what would it be?

Recently received a "minute entry" from a default hearing for my case. Judgment was denied for the following reason: 'Plaintiff's complaint fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted.'

What does that mean?

This is a very general term to me and as far as I'm concerned a claim upon which relief can be granted was made and proven in the wording of the pleading for damages.

Does anyone know any official sources that say if it's legal or not? I mean, I really don't want to face a fine or go to jail. What is the chance of getting caught?

Thanks!

Iam considering a move to England. What kind of issues would I be facing with my ex. I have full custody and he gets visitation. If he were cooperative concerning these matters would courts stand in the way? Would grand parents have any rights concerning this matter? Please give as much detail as possible. I would be very happy if you said Christmas and summer vacation and maybe fall and spring break from school would do. This is a serious matter to me. Thanks for your time.

My wife got into a car accident a year ago. There was not another car involved and she had no insurance. She does not remember anything that happened from time of the accident to 7 days afterwards. Within that 7 days, they had her sign an agreement to pay the bills for their services. We did not end up getting married until after the accident. To make long story short; I moved her away as soon as she got out of the hospital because of problems with her family. Today she got served with papers ordering her to pay the bills. Up until today she never was informed of the bills. Are there any legal actions she can take? Shouldn't her family be responsible for the bills since they where making her decisions, cause she was not coherent when signing the agreement?

I Attorney wants Spears deposition soon

NEW YORK - The attorney for Kevin Federline says he wants to depose Britney Spears soon, the latest step in the former couple's ongoing child-custody battle.

"Britney Spears will have her deposition early (next) year," Mark Vincent Kaplan told People.com late Saturday outside a Beverly Hills restaurant. "We've got a lot to talk about."

Spears, 26, called in sick to a court-ordered deposition Dec. 12, although she was photographed that day driving with a friend.

"She was, in fact, out later that day and night," Kaplan said. "It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK."

Spears and Federline have been wrangling for months over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.
etc etc
what does deposition mean

I am an heir to a small estate of my mother. Basically, my uncle is the executor, who has disowned me and moved away a few months after the start of probate. I believe he has some dementia. In the begining, he took my mother's will to the same attorney who is handling the estate that some of my mother's assets are being derived. I believe the lawyer is taking advantage of his enmity towards me. How can I get this estate distributed and closed?

A friend of mine previously had elbow replacement with a prosthesis. He was able to use his hand and his fingers had life in them. One of the screws came out and the doctor was to replace the screw. He did and a week later infection set up. He went back in and inserted antibiotic beads. After that he went back in an took the entire prosthesis out. He said that people can function without them. Now he cannot use his hand at all, his fingers are dead(no feeling). His entire arm just dangles as if it was a rope hanging from something. His arm goes all around his back. Does this qualify for malpractice since he cannot do anything with his hand and arm now when before then he was able to function with the prosthesis , but now he is dependent on others to help him.

Did any of you see the program "Jesus Camp" on A&E last night? Very scarey; frightening. It reminded me of Hitler's Youth Camps in Nazi Germany during the 1930' & 40's....of course it was apparent these Jesus camps are a product of the Cristian/Republican political machine that has been going on since the Reagan/Falwell political marriage in 1980.Did any of you think is blantant child abuse by their very own parents? What can be done about it to save these poor children?

A white woman was beaten by 9 black students on a Baltimore City bus on Dec. 4. The face of the victim Sarah Kreager was left broken, bruised, & swollen after the attack, & wounds on her head had to be stapled shut. She was called a white cracker & white motherf-cker while she was being beaten. But the 9 attackers aren't being charged with hate crimes. People think it's a hate crime to hang a noose from a tree, but crimes like this aren't hate crimes. Stupid double standard. This is really disgusting. In the first article a parent of one of the teens said that the victim provoked the attack. How does 1 woman provoke an attack with 9 teenagers? It doesnt matter if the teens were 'provoked' or not, it was a hate crime.

It appears odd that the assassination led to immediate claim by government that it was done by faction associated with Bin Ladin. It is as if the general populace was to be agitated by government/media apparatus to the extent of turning in Bin Ladin as form of retribution?

I just got fired today. Long story short, I saw this coming a few weeks before this happened. It seemed a little staged to me and they waited til the very end of the month to do it so i wouldnt get paid on the next period.
So , my questions are:
1) Shoulnt I get paid an unemployment indemnization?
2) Shouldt they have given me a two week notice? (its supposed to be both ways, right?)

I'm doing an essay on how the death penalty shouldn't be legal. So, what arguements should I put in? And, if you for it, tell me why? Do you have a bias? What the point of having it around if murder rates are still high?
