I live in Michigan. My bosses are trying to spite me since I gave a 2 week notice. I have a set scedual & work about 35 hrs a week. They gave away all my hours to other employees I found out today when I went to work.

I heard that there is some law that states they have to compensate me for these hours wether I work or not, for the next 2 weeks.

Is this true, can you help me?

For a while my ex had custody of our kids and was on government assistance for a couple years.
Now I have full custody of the kids not her and I am having my paychecks garnished to pay the state back for the time she was on welfare. Why?
She has a job making pretty ok money for where we live, shouldn't she be paying her own welfare back?
I tried explaining to the idiot I spoke to on the phone that by taking my checks to pay for her welfare that its taking from my kids who the welfare was meant to help.
She said the state requires the father of the kids to repay it,not the mother. (State:Missouri)
So am I seeing this wrong or does it really not make sense???

This person deliberately lied to a judge to block my termination of probation. She made one mistake. She thought I would not notice. I have re-motioned and feel I will be vindicated. My power is that I have been 100% compliant and am in the driver seat. I want to get her fired to set an example for a corrupt county attorney office. How do I sue her for slander or whatever on a personal basis?

I've always wondered about that, because especially in the Consumer Electronics > Music & Music Players section where I hang out, there's a ton of people asking how to get music without paying for it. And there's always people telling how to do it. Can those people get in trouble for that?

Thanks =P

Apparently the actress didn't act properly or made a mistake, so the director went straight to her and slapped her. He claims there was nothing wrong about his actions - he says just like we slap our kids or youngsters if they make a mistake, she also deserved a tight slap for her mistake.

No legal action was taken against him - was this correct of him to do that?

I know that alcohol is part has been part of western culture for milenia and thereby more socially acceptable, but why shouldn't marijuana be available for adults(over 18 or 21)? I actually think alcohol is worse than it, being when I encounter drunk people at bars they like to start fights, get aggressive and act like retards. I was even at a bar the other night and some drunk guy started a fight with a bouncer and stabbed him. While the stoned people I have encountered like to play video games, eat snack food and watch the same movies over and over again. I don't see the point of putting a non-violent stoner in jail. Anyone agreee?

because the people are not made by people by those scientists who observe them and clasify their behaviour mind etc.
and only God has the right to establish if a man is retarded or no, if is mad, idiot or no.

that is why God says that the one who call the other '' mad'' deserves hell.

besides , in those scineces..the word demon..which is a part od the truth of our lives, does not appear, and the priest said and the bible shows that the demons are in all of us, have access to the mind of all of us, includin scientists priests etc.

besides..all the bible..never talks about people with mental dissorder..the bible talks even 3 times a page in N. T. ABOUT DEMONS AND DEMONISED.

establishing according to a science made by jung and others that a man has an illness when accutually he has demons that temptates him, it means to destry the dignity and the personality and the reason of that man..like the one in the movie '' a beautiful mind''..

the bible says that the one whoi says into his h

Ok, I live in Copperas Cove, TX in the country, but close to Fort Hood where my husband's in the Army. We just bought this house a few months ago and have a few farm "pets." My husband was injured in Iraq and has had trouble keeping up with the fence, pasture and everything, but we're getting there! A few weeks ago we had some friends staying with us and while my husband and I were at work they let our dog out and forgot to call her back in so she wondered out of our gate and across the street. It was a warm day and the neighbors left the front door open and my dog went into their house! They came over and told our guests they'll shoot our dog if they see her near their yard again! My dog is a lab mix and LOVES everyone, she didn't hurt anything or do any harm. When I got the phone call I rushed home and apologized to them, but they weren't interested in talking to me, only to my husband so he went over and explained what happened, but they didn't care.

The mother of my two children has had 4 visits with our two daughters in 3 and half yrs. Now she demands to b given shared custody, pay no child support, and let her have visitation every other weekend. The children r 4yrs. and 3yrs.The 3yr. old doesn't even know her. This MOTHER refuses to communicate and cooperate.i.e. I have no knowledge of her job, living conditions and why she's been out of there lives other than she has had life threatening illness's and been extremely busy and she did not need to "explain herself" to me.
I am currently awaiting a court date to get sole legal custody. Is it wrong to ask for "physical signs of commitment " meaning supervised visitations with the mother being financially responsable and child support ?Also, what are the odds of success without an attorney?I only want whats best for my girls.

I live on a lane, it is not owned by anyone and the neighbours all contribute money to maintain the upkeep. One of the neighbours has recently decided to concrete a small triangle of land which has a small drop on it to filter water from the lane to a drain which is situated in their garden as before the water used to muddy their garden. They own this piece of land as it is on their deeds but I have access over this land to drive my car into my garage and have to drive up the small drop. Is it legal for them to do this and do they need planning permission.

Been seeing someone for 4 years. We broke up around September but still stayed in contact - i continued to help her financially - just giving her regular cash each month because her ex gave her no maintenance and i wanted to be a friend to her.

I also paid dental bills for treatment ending in October and I used to give her cash to see a counsellor - but not convinced she went.

Got a shock on Xmas day when she told me she moved out of her council house and moved in with a friend (female). I went to the house to see if they had a forwarding address to be told by the young lad there - they have moved in with my old man.

So for months I've been giving her cash while she has been seeing someone else. Is it obtaining money by deception even though a lot was paid in cash but I can prove I paid dentist bill. If I had known she was seeing someone else I wouldn't have give her any money

My friend was injured at work. She works at a hospital, and she slipped on a wet floor, fell, and hit her head. There was no sign indicating the floor was wet. She had to get 3 staples in her head and has a concussion. She is unable to work right now because a nerologist said she has post concussion syndrome. Even though, she has the proper information for workers comp..they are stalling to give it to her. She is very angry and is always talking about suing. I want to know if this is a good thing to do. It was an accident and I worry if she tries to sue she would lose her job or something. Is it wise for her to proceed? Could she lose her job by suing the hospital she works for? She cannot afford to not have this job, she is a medical secratary.

i am a massage therapist in chandler AZ and i am questioning my place of employment because they require me to work "off the clock" and i thought that if your job requires you to work on something, that they have to pay you for your work. ex. it is mandatory that i join a club at work....so i joined the wedding club, i go to wedding shows and advertise for my employer but do not get paid for it. that is just on of the things many of us do for free at work... the list goes on!!

My landlord is trying to tell me that my boyfriend of two years can only stay over my house occasionally. Now my neighbor has his girlfriend stay over all the time and nothing was said to him. To add to it... he is giving me crap about to many vehicels in the drive way when the vehicels he is complaining about are my neighbor's car, his motorcycle, his girlfriends car AND his son's car! This is in Pennsylvannia, so if anyone has an answer I would appreciate it.

About a year ago, while I was pregnant with my daughter, I was arrested on criminal charges (egging a car) and spent hours in jail. I then got an attorney and went forward in the case. After the birth of my daughter the case was still pending and problems with my ex arose. I then hired an attorney to obtain custody of my daughter. When I went to court for custody, this past August, the "accuser" from the criminal case was there. When she got on the stand she testified not "She messed up my car, I spoke with the county attorney this morning and she is going to jail next week. They said they are pressing charges to the full extent and she is definitely facing jail time" This month, charges were dismissed due to "unreliable witness" I lost a couple thousand dollars, spent time in jail, had my reputation ruined in my home town, and moved out of town, which I had lived in for 16 years, and my parents still live in. Can I sue her? I know perjury is a crime also, and I am not in jail either
