I was in an accident this morning and totalled my truck. My boss informed me that I wouldn't get paid for the Holiday if I do not work today... is there any law stating that I can get paid for unforseen circumstances... like the Act of God or the Tort law.. I'm not familar with this and need some help, thanks alot in advance.

they haven't done anything illegal. i'm sorry you were in an accident and couldn't get to work (could you not even make it in late??) but that's not the companies fault. i'm sure their holiday pay wording states that you must work the day before and after a holiday, if scheduled, to get you holiday pay. you didn't work today--so you won't get paid for new years day. they haven't done anything illegal

There is no law covering how you get paid for holidays. This is controlled by your employer. It's under the benefits section of your work rules.

You are out of luck on this one. Find another job. Why beg an employer for anything? If you are not valued enough for "unforseen circumstances" you don't need them.

Assuming your accident occurred while you were commuting to work and not while you were engaged in your work duties, then you are out of luck.

If you're an hourly employee, the only way you can get paid is to use some of your vacation days.
