No, it's a prescription that the doctor wrote to that individual. It's no different than if the prescription was for Vicodin.

It is legal to consume pot. It is illegal to possess, purchase, or provide it.

That being the case, it would be illegal for the person who can legally possess it to give you some and it would be awful hard to smoke some without holding (and therefore possessing) it.

It depends on the state that you live in. Some states have very lax-ed laws on the use of marijuana. In WI we have a city that does not bother to arrest, for small amounts, for personal use.

No way. If the perscription isn't in your name and you get caught you go to jail and so will the perscription holder. Just for disdribution of a controled substance.
