My brother went online to look for a car loan since he has bad credit. A car dealer in Mahwah New Jersey (we are in New York) responded and told him to "come on in" SO he went in, they took his trade with a quoted value of 2K. Then they gave him a 2006 Nissan Sentra and stated he had the loan for the car. They had a 10 day temporary registration on it and let that lapse stating they were still trying to register it? Until they finally got that and then the REPOSSES the car stating they couldn't get the loan to go through << Mind you this was WITHOUT warning! ANd now they will not return his trade or compensate him for the quoted value on the trade Now they WON"T RETURN HIS CALLS! I am guessing a lawyer is in order??... but would LOVE to hear what everyopne has to say! :)

Satellite dish, 18 month contract, if you cancel you pay 18 dollars a month. ADT three year contract, if you cancel you pay 14 dolllars a month. Earthlink, 1 year contract if you cancel before you pay 30 dollars. What the heck is going on? Years ago you didn't want service any longer, then you cancelled and that was it. This is just bull#### no sense. The sad thing is that no contract no service, and I really need all these services. I guess they take advantage of the fact people need them. What can be done to go back as before?

for instance, say my name is john smith, some freinds and I put together a production, and I do the script and musical score, is it legal to to say
'written by: john smith'
music: johnny smitherines" etc

is it a form of fraud? I'd think not, as long asthe persons involved 'know' what will be on the credits'

can u put peoples names that doesnt exist?? for the sake of making the project seem larger than it was. :)

well one q at a time.
i know ive seen nicknames and even obscenities in some credits.
so does the credits matter, does any legal folk care about that stuff?

??

In Texas, the definition of a dependent child for health insurance is 25 and younger, regardless of student status. My parents insurance has been going by that definition all of this year but now all of a sudden they are telling my parents that, as of this past January, I am not covered and that they don't have to go by that definition. I want to know how they think they can get around this rule.

Thanks for any help.

I was falsely accused of forging a check because I sold something online, & the person wrote me a bad check-I didn't know it was a bad check. He wrote the check for over the amount he was supposed to send me, & after he sent it to me, he wanted me to western union it back. I didn't know. I was handcuffed & taken to jail for a day, but the judge threw it out & said it was a misunderstanding. They were going to charge me with a felony of forgery with 10 yrs. or more in prison.

I asked this question on Y!A before & they said I wasn't telling the whole story. I'm telling the honest truth. I didn't know I was being taken advantage of.

My neighbor and I both received letters from U.S. District Court Settlement Administrator, Philadelphia. It states that we are eligible to receive a refund on credit card foreign transactions made between 1996 and 2006. Indeed we both traveled out of country during that time. Another neighbor who did not get the letter, did not travel out of country, which makes me think the letter might be legit. There are three options for refund. 1.) a flat $25 refund, 2.) a total estimated refund, and 3.) an annual estimated refund.

Three forms are included, one for each kind of refund. No personal information is requested at this time but sooner or later I suspect Credit card #'s will be requested, which I'm not about to give.. Yet this could be legitimate... What worries me is "The Settlement Administrator will estimate a fee refund [for Option 2] using your responses to a few simple questions and available information that can be accessed by computer." It sounds bogus... It it?

as it says above :-)

Are insurance underwriters allowed to deny you insurance policies for "pre-existing" conditions, such as a physical or mental ailment that existed before a policy is to be issued??

thanks! :-)

The idea is that when someone is stupid enough to get a DUI, that person would then be force to put a special-colored license plate on his car that would signal him as a DUI offender. The purpose of this idea is to not only serve as a reminder punishment, but to also alert the authorities, as well as other drivers on the road of a potiential risk.

This is something that has already been done in Ohio and it might come to effect in other states as well, such as California and Florida.

This is also my assigned topic for my debate class. I am required to argue in favor of this policy. Please give me an argument against this idea and I will try my best to defend it. As for how I feel personally, so far I personally agree with this idea also.

Say a person is either a member or a visitor to a church and publicly addresses an error in a sermon or points out a member who is in sin or any other VALID point. Could a 'pastor' legally have security/ushers physically remove a person from the premises?
note: In this situation, the person speaking out isn't yelling, screaming or in any other way acting in a threatening manner. They simply put the issue in the open and or respond to a rebuttal.
